It's funny that the imperial guard, in my opinion , is the weakest army in 40k. All they got is vehicles and weapons that a space marine can hold with a turret stand

The Imperial Guard deserve more honor than the Space Marines. They are the ones that are doing the serious work EVERYWHERE! I love how you narrate the struggle and agony amongst the ranks of the Guard. Reminds me of the Battle in Stalingrad on the movie "Enemy at the Gates". Their deaths were inevitable. To bad they make there Guns less powered for each troop and not mass produced Hotshots like the KASRKIN(shoock troopers)use and armor..... they need new Armor upgrades for them to last more.
I'm an Imperial Guard fan but I field more armor than I do squads of "disposable" guardsmen. The dollar value of all that armor is pretty high but nothing says fun like an armored spearhead.

@makakooos There's many women in the imperial guard, they don't make female models anymore but they do exist. Mainly because despite Games workshop's obvious misogyny they can't really give a good reason why the imperium would ignore 50% of viable recruits purely because they're women. Often do segregate regiments based on gender presumably to lessen the problems of relationships etc within the regiment.

@louie97ation Yes that is their reasoning for it but it comes back to my point that if you're making up your own pseudo science there's no reason you can't have women in your super soldier program except you think it might spoil the manly image of big muscle bound men with huge guns. Sisters of battle do exist but they're basically well trained women in power armour and are the militant arm of the ecclesiarchy and they are held in high regard but don't have the mythic status of space marines.

@Lesnar37 Women don't make better soliders but there are roles were they are just as if not better suited than men and vice versa basically it's more the fact that men get the greatest warriors in the galaxy and women get a grudging second place as the sisters of battle and there's no reason for it at all.
Uhmm, warriors are soldiers. So if you believe women don't make better soldiers, isn't it logical that the most powerful warriors are men? Besides, by your logic, its not fair unless the women come first over men, which is a kind of double-standard argument. Keep in mind the fact that war games don't tend to draw a large female audience. I commend GW for making an all-female fighting force.
@Dream146 Besides, the WH40k universe isn't meant to be a nicey politically correct universe or even closely resemble the modern Western world. Its a kind of a medieval gothic sci-fi setting. The lore about the Space Marine chapters basically make them out to be medieval templaric orders, in other words knights, whom in actual history were usually men; history is cruel.
Just because the Imperium may be sexist doesn't mean GW is though. They are just going for a certain themed atmosphere.
REAL history of the Imperial Guard: Not good enough to be Space Marines, these bullet magnets rely on heavy armor and cheezy table tactics to eek out last minute objective captures. Many believe the Guard were created by the gods at Games Workshop so that the multitude of models needed by IG players would buy each GW employee an DB7 coupe.

Like I say there's no good reason to not have a role for women in the space marines beyond the fear of immasculating all the rough and ready super human boys with their huge guns and giant armour. Don't get me wrong I love the 40K universe and the fluff and it's all good I just have problems with GW and the corporate policies they pursue.

1) As an air force officer have passed through the academy (I specialized in psychology and flight technology) I can assure you that the washout rate divided by gender is skewed strongly in favor of men. The physical demands of flight, combat and the rigors or front line deployment simply surpass what most of our female cadets are able to train for. yourself beforehand. While I agree that the world at large is male oriented, the balance towards equality has seen more progress in the last fifty years than in the entirety of human history. I applaud this. In my relationship I absolutely enjoy the fact that my spouse holds equal, (Probably greater) responsibilities and decision making power within our life. So while I agree with your overall ideology, I'm perplexed by why you decided to tackle a male oriented industry.

I know a lot about 40K in fact I used to collect eldar before I grew up and realised space elves are no fun but in fact howling banshees are somewhat fanatical and in fact have the ability the "banshee's scream" or at least they did when I played them.

@Dream146 better pilots????? BETTER PILOTS? Vert few even manage to fly a fighter jet and that's an ambitious estimate. I have served in a prominent Air Force Academy and I am speaking out of personal experience here. Most women in the army end up not to be able to handle it psychologiacly, and they are receiving special treatment because of their gender. VERY FEW bright exceptions manage to shine in their respective fields in the military. That's the truth, you can deal with it or not.

@louie97ation Yes that is their reasoning for it but it comes back to my point that if you're making up your own pseudo science there's no reason you can't have women in your super soldier program except you think it might spoil the manly image of big muscle bound men with huge guns. Sisters of battle do exist but they're basically well trained women in power armour and are the militant arm of the ecclesiarchy and they are held in high regard but don't have the mythic status of space marines.

@louie97ation Actually, I'm fairly certain that there are more Sisters than there are Marines. However, they're less mobile on a strategic scale, which means that, proportionately speaking, they see less action than their numbers would imply.

@Dream146 i have no idea if women make better soldiers but since men are biologically able to make muscles faster and more efficient plus they have more testosterone, it makes sense to use men for space marines ya know? for a women u would need more injections, surgeries and implants compared to making a man into a space marine

Uhmm, warriors are soldiers. So if you believe women don't make better soldiers, isn't it logical that the most powerful warriors are men? Besides, by your logic, its not fair unless the women come first over men, which is a kind of double-standard argument. In any case, Sisters kick major ass, its not like they are a distant second from SMs.
Keep in mind the fact that war games don't tend to draw a large female audience. I commend GW for making an all-female fighting force.

@Dream146 Besides, the WH40k universe isn't meant to be a nicey politically correct universe or even closely resemble the modern Western world. Its a kind of a medieval gothic sci-fi setting. The lore about the Space Marine chapters basically make them out to be medieval templaric orders, in other words knights, whom in actual history were usually men; history is cruel.
Just because the Imperium may be sexist doesn't mean GW is though. They are just going for a certain themed atmosphere.

REAL history of the Imperial Guard: Not good enough to be Space Marines, these bullet magnets rely on heavy armor and cheezy table tactics to eek out last minute objective captures. Many believe the Guard were created by the gods at Games Workshop so that the multitude of models needed by IG players would buy each GW employee an DB7 coupe.
