I much prefered TB's style during this era of his drumming. Raw and thick with a great sense of groove. He could have given Vinnie a run for his money if he would have stuck to a more commercial sound mixed with heavy chops. Dunno, just my opinion.....
Another question: was this the night David Bowie ("Captain Tom" as Zappa called him) was in the audience and tried to lure away Adrian Belew during one of Frank's solos?

zoot allures then i bought everything i saw after that - i miss frank so much - it was great to go buy the new zappa album / cd
