what if the network is encrypted? Can't you do this softwarematic? Like using your computer as a bluetooth to WiFi bridge? This could be really useful for a lot of people!

The software that we wrote for the phone can handle encryption. You can connect to any network just like you were using a phone with wifi built in

So how do we get the software? I found out that you can also share your internet connection via bluetooth in Mac OS X. But I think my phone doesn't support it!

System preferences>Sharing: Make sure you have an Bluetooth PAN. Click on internet sharing (make sure it's turned off) Then select your AirPort as "share your connection from" and your Bluetooth PAN as "to computer using"

Not sue if this will work because I'm pretty sure my phone doesn't support it. I have a Nokia 5130 Music Xpress.

Sorry, this isnt available commercially (at least not yet). We only made one prototype. We aren't planning on pursuing it commercially unless someone wants to buy the design
