  • Quite easily one of the most beautiful and stunning horses I have ever seen :)

  • Love akhal tekes dispite of most of my friends ;) What's the name of this song?

  • @BlackQueenOfSpades

    Secret Garden - Moving

  • Very cool I love the Teke

  • Amazing!

  • the most beautiful horse in the world ! <3

  • one of this day Im doing to own one!!! What a beauty!

  • This ist the stallion of my riding teacher. He`s a very beautifull and lovely horse.

    many greetings

    ---------------------------------------------------------

Das ist der Hengst von meiner Reitlehrerin. Er ist ein liebes und wunderschönes Pferd

    Viele Grüße

  • I think it's a beautiful horse with a lovely trot, however the rider is a bit too forcefull on the reins. The neck is too narrow, I would love to see the rider move her hands further forward to allow the horse's neck to stretch a bit more :)

  • very nice dressage !

A pity however that those horses are not tall enough for most nowadays riders which force them to bend their legs

  • Oh Akhal-Tekes are so beautiful! I love them, because they are really the most beautiful and graceful of horses. I dream of riding one. At the place where I ride, the horses have been treated by first time riders, by the look of it at least. And they wont do anything onless you know exactly how to handle them. It's so sad. :(

  • Tekes are, by and large, one-person horses. Mine will do all kinds of things for me, but nothing for anyone else.

  • You know... when I first saw an akhal teke I thought they looked a bit too skinny, too gangly, and too strange. But now I think they are more of an aquired taste, because the more I read about them and the more I see them the more I like them.

They may not be my favorite breed, but they are high on my list.

  • omg!!!!!

Akhal teke's r my fav breed!

    expetilly this palomino/gold Akhal Teke!!!

    They're BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

  • Oh that's a pity, though I find people here in Holland & Germany ride too heavy handed & hard on the spurs:( You cannot ride Tekes like warmbloods, they need more negotiation and you can't force them into doing what you want them to do. It means going at a slower pace with training but the results come out like this. The Uzbek lady rides him really nice and there's another video of her riding a different horse but as they are not my videos, I'm reluctant to post it.

  • Can you ask her? I allways like to see good riders.

  • I'm not really sure who to ask. I don't think she's the owner of the videos anyway. They've originated maybe from Austria. If the author ever contacts me and I can ask their permission then I'll post the other one.

  • Bäuerle, sorry, typo.

  • This peice was amazing the leg should be out instead of squezing the horses stomach. but very beautiful. was he a stud?

  • Yes Michele van Kasteren also said he was in Germany. Her comment's gone with the info (???). Thanks.

  • He is in Germany, in 72218 Wildberg-Gültlingen at Bräuerle Stud.

  • Bäuerle, sorry, typo.

  • Is he up for stud?

  • I think he's in Tashkent, Uzbekistan or at least he was 2 years ago. This film was made in Tashkent.

  • @ShimmeringShai Most Akhal-Teke's are gelded in ordered to be registered. The registery book for them was closed several years ago. So if you come across someone selling an Akhal-Teke more then likely it's a cross or the horse is not registered.

  • @smonroe67

That's not true. Most Akhal-Teke stallions are not gelded and the stud book is closed to any part bred Akhal-Tekes, VNIIK has a separate stud book for them. The AT stud book (MAAK or now WATO) is well and truly open to Akhal-Tekes only. How else do you think we register them? :D

  • is he currently standing at stud? if so, where?

  • Unfortunately absolutely no idea :(

  • Wow, the video was taken in Tashkent, at the riding academy where I used to ride. I've seen Grom. He is amazing!

  • Lovely, Thanks for uploading x

  • those flying lead changes are amazing. whats the cue? just outside leg, inside leg?

  • most likely the main aid is the seat (slightly swinging and shifting weight to the riders hip bone of that lead, ie right hip for right lead) supplemented by leg and rein

  • DO you know what song this is and who it's by?

    Awesome horse.

    ^.^

    PS: no PS

  • Beautiful, unique breed. Lovely.

  • Apologies for that, it's the only reference I have found. Still he's a really lovely horse though!

  • I always knew Akhal-Tekes were.. shiny, but I've never actually seen a shiny Akhal-Teke in video. Only pictures. That's a pretty shiny horse right there.

  • Yeah I like this one. I had it for a long time and debated uploading it but she rides him so nice, none of the force that you see so much in dressage these days. There is another video too.

  • very cool!

I hope to see lots more videos of Akhal-Tekes doing what they do best.
