Nice video and as you said, it was one of the most powerful and important ceremonies for the ancient Egyptians. This ritual was not only performed for the deceased, but also to investigate life and divine power to statues and even reliefs depicted on the walls of temples and tombs.
The ritual was symbolic they didnt really open the mouth. By touching the face (mouth, eyes, nose and ears) with a special designed tool, made of meteorite iron and uttering special formula they gave back life (but also speech, seeing, hearing, smelling, ) to the deceased.
