By the way I wasn't trying to be mean in my last comment about LIRR being horrible, its just that in the last decade or so, after they "electrified" it, its been a real pain the ass for commuters that take it. Its never on time, and it has terrible policies regardint travel on their trains (I lived in Long Island for a few years so thats how I know this).
You don't know what your talking about. Were on time most of the time. YOU TRY SQUEEZING 740 TRAINS A DAY PLUS FREIGHT ON A DOUBLE TRACK MAINLINE AND SEE HOW HARD IT IS! More then 300,000 people take the LIRR a day. If you hate it so much GET A CAR AND SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH. Because you Don't know what your talking about.
No they don't. During our rush hours, we have a train less then 2 mins apart from each other. NJT AMTRAK AND NS Don't run in such a tight area. Once again you have no idea what your talking about. And tell me how amtrak and NS came into play?
@sportsmovieman it is stated by Railroad managment that the stretch of track between Queens inteterlocking to Mineola runs the most trains in the country i dont know the exact number but i think its 500+ per day. There is no state law about how much they have to be spaced out. however in the rule book for LIRR i believe there is a rule that states that trains have to clear the block in less than 5 mins i have to check.

NJ Transit does it all the time with much more success. Not to mention they have to deal with Amtrak's crap and NS crap as well as their own.

Sure they do. They just know how to space it out more because Amtrak runs what goes on into Penn Station for NJ Transit.
NS I believe operates some lines for NJT and Conrail does too.
"We have a train less than two minutes apart from each other during rush hours."
Isn't that NY State Law to have them spaced apart that much evenly during the peak rush? I know they do that after each baseball game.

Your Confusing the NEC with NJT and LIRR MAINLINE
