I balled my eyes out when this happened to me. And when he told me he loved me more than he ever thought possible I kinda wanted to cut his arse open and drain all his blood (Desire to all of a sudden turn bloodmage). The sight of me shaking my PC screen and deep desire to start kicking things about in my house while frantically asking "WHY!? WHY Alistair?!" is something I don't think my neighbours will soon forget.

This wont happen if you "harden" Allistair. After you meet his sister and hes sulking about it outside her door you have to tell him "Everybody's just out for themselves" or something like that, and his personality will shift a little and he stops being such a push over.

its really depressing that i have a crush on not only book characters but video game characters. no matter how many times i play this game i will always squeal when alistair first kisses me with the whole "i fooled you then did i? good to know" and when he gives me the rose. no wonder all the guys i go out with disappoint me. i relate them to fiction characters. time to start living in reality. to bad i dont want to!

No matter what my PC is I always Anora FTW and tell Alistair 'Be a man'. Dont think I will ever get that 'Perfectionist' achievment. He and Harrowmont I really dont like. Alistair is self-centered fool and I think Harrowmont killed Engrin and Behlen was only one who knew truth.

@ZOMGitsDouchebag Oh no...Behlen killed Endrin. There's no doubt about that. Play through the Dwarven Noble starter. You'll see how twisted Behlen is. He'll do ANYTHING for the crown of Orzammar. But it is this ruthlessness, and dark cunning that makes him a powerful King, and a good leader. Harrowmont is too soft...too tame. If you make him King, the council controls him, and Orzammar suffers for it. As for Alistair...my Human Noble warrior married Anora, and had Alistair executed. lol

I just wish there were an option to make the human male noble warrior the King of Ferelden. I mean, as Terryin of Highever he IS next in line to be King according to Ferelden law, not Alistair, and not Anora. Though I would still marry Anora anyway.

@NemesisTheZombieKing Alistair is a weakling. He can't lead, which is obvious from the very beginning. Morrigan was raised to be the way she is...it's hard to change that. Leliana is in denial of who she is. Sten is awesome if you work on his approval, and get him his sword back. Oghren is too hung up on his old flame. It's best to help him get away from that. Zev...yes...Zev is creepy. Wynne is too bossy, but eventually chills(unless you destroy the ashes with her around). And Dog is pure win.

If you want to be queen you have to select the option at the Landsmeet when it comes up. Otherwise if you choose fo Alistar to rule alone and your characters in a romance with you he'll end it.

the only really way for him to stay with you is to have a high coercion skill, lots of cunning, and pick the options that insist that he can still have you even if he's king

it also results that you become his mistress... since apparently he has to marry Anora... that bitch...

That's only if you let Loghain live. If you (or Alistair) kill Loghain and choose Anora as queen, she'll just wat Alistair to promise that he'll never have a right to the throne. You can see in my ending vids that he's alive.

Yeah, when you're about to elect him as King there'll be another option saying something like: "Alistair will be King and I will rule beside him." It's a persuasion check though, so if you suck at persuasion he'll turn you down.

Only a female Human Noble can be Queen, buuut if you tell Alistair to toughen up after his sister quest you can be his mistress when he becomes King. Not quite the same as being Queen, but hey, you still get Alistair. Of course there's always the option of NOT making him King and riding off into the sunset as Grey Wardens as well.

take him along nearly everywhere and just a goody-two shoe

make sure you give him the gifts that he likes, which are mostly statuettes and runes (Such a child XD)

And make when you chat with him, pick the positive or argreeable responses

It's basically the same for both genders but the female obviously gets more approval due to him being a romance option XD
