  • Nostalgia, bittersweet song for bittersweet memories, almost makes me cry.

  • Without a doubt the best Blur song, Cork 95 when they had a junk food stage, Big dirty hamburger, Never forget it.

  • hermosa cancion.

  • What is it about England that makes the bands from there so good ? Must be something in the air. Damp, grey, depressing.. and inspirational.

  • @manjv5665 lol i would like to see the MTV Best of Brit commercial on youtube. they featured a couple of the greatest britpop bands. i wish someone would upload it.

  • I think this tune is about the shipping forecast? I f**king love it all the same!

  • nice...

  • gives me the same feeling the tourist does, at the end of ok computer :')

  • Expressive guitar solo.

  • forgot just how good this is.

  • simply amazing

  • just love it

  • it totally pissess me off that two weakest songs of Parklife (To The End and End Of A Century) were chosen as singles, but two strongest songs (This Is A Low and Badhead) were not

  • @gogolplex74 they were both good songs too, but i agree this is better

  • this is probably their finest moment... bands really don't peak like this often

  • Amazing vocals on this song.

  • Esta muisca é simplesmente fantastica (This song is fantastic)

  • Suck Oasis!

  • Timeless....

  • Awwww.

One of my all time favourite songs.

    #D

  • damon alburn needs to f++k gorilaz off and get down to making music like this again

  • @djcarlwalker damon made gorillaz so he could make the music he wanted to make but couldn't make with blur, also he is still working with blur, more also gorillaz are great!

  • This is the best song on Parklife in my humble opinion. Would have made a great single

  • such a killer chorus

  • It is one of my goals in life to not die before I've listened to this chorus live.

  • @ricklongo Missed your chance 2009 mate. Not gonna happen again.

  • @Jakkc I seen um in manchester. Just might happen again you never know. Nobody thought it would happen in 2009 but it did

  • @ricklongo I seen um in manchester 2009 and they sang this. Best concert iv ever been too by a million miles

  • @ricklongo that's unfortunately wery unlikely now since Blur will hardly reunite

  • love blur

all the fucking songs of blur

  • After hearing this song I don't feel LOW anymore!;-))

It has a healing ability. Amazing...

  • i like i like it, i love it

  • Could listen n chill to this all day!

  • Blur or Oasis? I think this tune puts that question to sleep

  • excellent track brings back so many memories

  • :D I love this song, it always makes me feel better on hard times :) <3 blur

  • fucking fantastic song!

  • 7 people have teh bad AIDS

  • If I'm not mistaken, this song is about weather report. It takes serious talent to take that and make it into this.

  • One of the best, if not the best blur track.

  • I just can't get enough of this song, and that intro :O

  • Goosebumps.

  • this is a ridiculously moving piece here

  • This is a top tune!! Blur piss all over the wank shite that oasis was by miles.

  • @coltsuperocean10 Mate your so right, as far as talent and song writing go Blur s@*t all over Oasis who just used words that rhyme and mean f all (Wonderwall is a prime example of this). This album is the soundtrack to my student days

  • Just awesome :) I agree with the epic statement great way to explain it!

  • TOTALLY AMAZIN.... inspires my music :)

  • Epic

  • No perfect but lead guitar is so good.

  • this has got to be one of the best songs ever. it sounds so good you don't even care what the lyrics are.

but then when you do find out what the lyrics are you find out that they're also amazing.

using a weather report to comment on the state of affairs in a country... brilliant

  • Thumbs up if you came here via Paul Merson's twitter!!!!!!

  • This is all I listened to all day today!

  • Unreal.

  • I'm abroad and this song sums up ex-pat nostalgia to a tee

  • so how many of you have been watching me make an idiot of myself , crazy people often talk to the internet because they are lonely ! tey dont expect people to be spying unless they are curious! i wonder how many of you actually have a back bone .at least i spoke my mind, however fucked up and took the consequences. so who are you then .......a bunch of piss taking cowards that can only kick someone when they are down coz you are dogs! no honour!no soul! no courage any of you !

  • @superloki76 Hey... Who are you talking to?

  • Had this song on repeat for two days.

    Didn't even notice till my friend pointed it out;

that's how brilliant this song it <3

  • sweet and sad and perfect

  • I love this song very much...thanks Mr.albarn.

  • this track has got some pavement in it... great record!

  • 6 peoples don't know what music is!

  • i don't know what this song is all about but this is the best blur song that ever made,, blur for life!

  • Comment removed

  • Fantastic song. Quick word for Graham's fantastic duel solos, truly heart wrenching. Thanks for posting.

  • Fuck you oasis really fuck you motherfuckers

  • @vossos7 Blur is the best britpop-indie rock band....Everrrrrrrr

    And Damon Albarn fantastic musician...

  • The best song... it's a masterpiece :)))

  • gosh this band knows how to make beautiful melodies. i love them

  • The best song off of parklife. Oasis and Blur had rivalries but not really musically, they are 2 totally different bands, if anything Blur were more intelligent. But both bands bring back many memories. I was 16 at the time of your BRITPOP and it made me take my dusty guitar out the cupboard and learn to play again, I think its safe to say they don't make albums like that anymore(or maybe I'm just not 16 any more!)

  • @everyonesguitar c Couldn't have put it better myself :-)

  • @everyonesguitar Nah, they really don't make them like this anymore. Blur, during this era, were an untouchable musical gem of a band. Oasis were solid rockers too. Both provided nice contrast, and in my book, PULP were the weirdo-yet-magical underdogs! :)

  • @everyonesguitar Great point, the not being 16 anymore. "They don't make albums like that anymore" has been said by every generation since rock/pop began.

  • @everyonesguitar I couldn't agree with you more! Gave me goose bumps listening to this again!

  • What a beautiful, meaningful, moving and sing-a-long tune, truely emotional.

  • Played this song at the British Music Experience in London... I sucked, but the song didn't, it's great

  • @sYRe2k Me too - I definitely have a future as a bassist...

  • @malthuswasright Me three. Alex James is one of my main inspirations :)

  • I like this song

  • My Fave Blur Tune Atm. :D

  • If you have to put 'objectively' in capitals, then it is very unlikely that you are being so.

That being said, I SUBJECTIVELY believe that oasis aren't fit to spunk in Blur's shadow.

  • This song would hve worked well in Trainspotting 1:00 - 1:30 chorus :D

  • This is one of my favorite songs by Blur. It just brings out emotions in me I didn't know I had. =D

  • Amazing song .....amazing band

  • Oasis might have made a million songs better than an average blur song, but this one absolutely won me over as a blur fan, I'd pick something like this over the Beatles in anyday let alone Oasis, classic

  • such nice song

  • It's still a mystery to me WHY this didn't end up as a single!

  • @pinheadsen

You clearly have no idea how singles work

  • I'm an ex-pat and this song just gets to you, Blackpool, Land's End, The Thames, piers, tea, pretty England.

  • Wow, Blur's body of work holds up so well! Damon pours his heart into these songs, and the rest of the band is more talented than people think.

  • "This is a low, but it won't hurt you....." great lyric!!!!

  • classic..! had this 13 yrs back..!! time flies so fast!

  • This is a Classic.

  • This is a Classic.

  • Ah, brilliant : )

  • Blur have been around for ages, since like 1991 i think, had 2 albums out before oasis appeared on the scene. I used to love oasis but they became boring and predictable, dont think blur ever made 2 albums that sounded the same

  • I love both Blur and Oasis. You can't compare them really, they're almost different genre. I think people back in the '90s judged them from their classes, that's why Oasis were sympathised by most of the people, being simple working-class boys...

  • No way! Blur win at life :P

  • best blur song it was amazing this song whaen i saw them at hyde park

  • No word of a lie, I haven't heard this song in years and it sent a shiver down my spine. So, so, so emotive. I don't even know where my copy of Parklife is...fuck it, I'll buy it again on Amazon. Brilliant.

  • I love blur and similar bands!!!!

    <3

  • there are no such things as bands similar to blur, especially when you hear a song like this one.

  • EXACLY!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Ian Browns shitty voice would have destroyed it. Face it, Albarn can sing. Brown can't!

  • i wish there was a semi finger button......

  • Great song. Such a great song.

  • the Parklife album is my fave 1 cause it has most of the songs I like best on it... and I only heard them from Harry and Paul's Nelson Mandela sings Blur sketch and decided to check them out properly...

  • @Nirvana96Grunge7896

search for Blur Young & Lovely

  • What a lovely song!!!

  • britpop's finest flower..a tune and a half

  • @kevsul47 too right, don't make them like that anymore!

  • its the tits

  • i like blur!

  • i know.. hardest thing for an oasis fan to admit

  • yh but oasis are crap

  • no. they were an incredible band.

  • COUGH COUGH BLUR SHATTER OASIS TO PEICES OASIS ARE CRAP

DO U HONESTLY THINK THAT OASIS WERE BETTER THAN BLU!!!???

although the song they did for the royle family was quite good

  • blur are great.. but honestly the two bands arent even compareable, oasis are or.. rather were the beatles of our time really, blur are more like.. pink floyd

  • oh 4 cryin out loud blur are blur not pink floyd blur are there own band and one of the best ever bands

  • wow.. well thats my argument beat alright.

  • LOL @ Oasis as The Beatles of our time, r u serious? That was a good one. Oasis had a bunch of simple songs from 1994-1996 and thats was bout it. I do like Oasis but much of there fame came because there songs were so catchy and not because they were a great band.

  • I think you're a little biased. Catchy songs only took them so far. Listen to the masterplan nd tell me they werent an amazing band.

  • 1994-1997*

  • @aspirantepiloto19 well put!

  • incredible.

You wouldnt believe how many times I had to type that word before I got right. Damn broken arms.

  • this song has gotten me through a recent thing I was going through with a chick at work. She went off with him. I guesse I wasn't persistent enough. Fuck! This song helps me chill.

  • FANTASTIC SONG!!!!!

  • Listened to it so many times in the 90s and then moved onto other songs / bands. Finding this again was like having a visit from an old friend. - so many memories and thoughst resurfaced.

Good song - wish a few more today could move you the way this does..

  • And to think that M People won the Mercury prize in '94. That will live on as one of the most baffling decisions in the history of man.

  • if you diddnt see this at glasto this year....you've never heard this song properly....

  • In all fairness matey, Iv'e seen blur 4 times, the last time being just a couple of weeks ago In Manchester. I've heard numerous Live versions of this song and they are pretty much all the same. They are all totally spellbindingly spinechillingly brilliant. I'm glad you enjoyed glasto. It looked ace. But to think it was any different than any other live gig because more people were there is untrue. In fact the smaller the gig and the least people the better.

  • seeing a band like blur just after they get back together.....emotions were so hight....being lost in love with glastonbury.....everybody there for the same reason...damon getting really emotional.....being eclipsed under the lights of the pyramid stage.....perfect.

    x

  • Thats Amazing. When they played in Manchester it was the Friday before they played Glasto on the Sunday. Damon Thanked us all for going absolutley fucking Mental and, giving them much needed confidence. He said They were absolutley shiting themselves about Glasto coz the crowd is about 20% a blur crowd and the rest regular festival goers. I think thats why he wept going into that song. The amzing reception you guys gave them that night was awsome. Nice one mate. You Lot were ace that night. :-)

  • when i saw them in 99 it was for the release of the 13 album. It was on the day of its launch and it was one of the only times they played that album live. It was in a really small BBC studio in North London and You had to win the tickets on the radio. I was lucky enough to win a pair. There were only around 100 people there and a few family and friends sat upstairs. It was the best blur gig i've seen. It was so personal and it felt like you were a part of the evening :-) less people are better.

  • it was fucking amazing at t in the park too like. that solo is note perfect... i dont like the way he says in ger lund at the beginning but thats a fuckingminiscule quibble with such an awesome song

  • I think it's supposed to be witty..( And to make the syllables fit!). :)

  • well I saw them in Hyde Park the first night and your words are just my words..I ve seen them before and this song never, ever felt anything like it did that night in the park..thing is, we all walked away with the certainty that it could never ever get better than that, as you did in Glasto, as other kids did in Glasto '94 and god knows how many other times...

  • this is a low

    but it won't hurt you

when you're alone it will be there with you

    finding ways to stay solo

  • I LOVE THIS SONG. I used to hate it but it's grew on me like big style :)

  • Best song of the last 20 years.

  • THats a very ignorant statement to make, great song but not the best in the last 20 years.

  • best blur song ever

  • Beautiful.....just beautiful

  • My absolute ultimate blur track... brings back so many memories.

    Thanks for posting UB5GUY.

  • This is a low... solo

  • By far my favorite song of theirs.

  • no.

  • oi, brmc10, do u fancy fuckin off ?

  • AAAaaargh - far too much text! I Can't possibly listen to such a great song and read all that guff at the same time!

  • Morriseys new album is shite.

He's gonna rim your mum later.

  • Don't plus me.

  • This is a low is superb blur were better than oasis in the sense that they were more diverse and sophisticated in their variety of music. Oasis were one dimentional with the same drone from one song to the next.Lager lout music would be abit harsh but there is some truth in this theory

  • couldnt agree with you any more!

  • thanks for uploading!

  • Totally true - oasis appealed more to young guys with testosterone to burn (I know - I was one of them) but as we get a bit more mature and with songs like this - we realise that Blur are so far ahead its not even funny.

  • With the passage of time it can be seen OBJECTIVELY that Blur whipped oasis.

  • agreed

  • Thank you.

    Someone who acknowledges opinions.

    And yes, objectively, they did!

  • @bombsiteweed For sure. This is a Low > Champagne Supernova any day of the week. Oasis are still great though.

  • @bombsiteweed But Stone Roses whipped both artistically if not musically, although this one is a strong contender. I might take it back. Er, clicks Post and puts kettle on.

  • favourite blur song ever. drew a few tears hearing this live at leeds festival ages ago. even though i though blur were pretty poor on that day this song was quality

  • Possible one of the best three BLUR songs ever, should have been a single.

  • Never bought into Blur/Oasis much except this song. It is stunning and deserves its place alongside likes of tubestation/waterloo sunset for me.

  • double that one mate!

  • what a guitar solo!

  • I remember seing them at the Cleethorpes Pier back in '96.Brilliant.
