Actually to clear the last boss you must reserve all the full potion and dont use the "Jiu Shen" skill till clear the last boss! Or else quite hard! Try to level to max under water with ling er mother cos her skill very powerful.

Zhao Ling Er died but Lin Yue Ru managed to live, the baby which Lin Yue Ru holds in her arm was the daughter of Zhao Ling Er and Li Xiao Yao.

Did you play the game at all?

Xiao Yao did a quest to save yueru.

Also in the ending cutscene you see Xiao Yao leaves Ah Nu and she looks completely different from the girl holding the baby. In the second game you can see Xiao Yao's daughter together with YueRu.
