*you don't see. That's true faith. Hebrews 11:1. Why would he curse those lost sinners? Why not pray for their salvation and God's sovereign mercy? Peace
@redrocklove He didn't curse the sinners the point he was trying to make was that he cursed the place which was full of sinful acts. Faith is not a force but it activates the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not Jesus but he thru the Holy Spirit works thru us.
So he cursed the liquor store....? This is false Word of Faith teaching. Jesus acts as he pleases. We are not Him. Faith is not a force. It's a trust and hope in what you dobt s
Free will is a gift from God. The purpose of this gift is to give us a choice to have faith in Jesus Christ, and obedience in the Holy Spirit; or to do what we want to do,which is to side with the enemy, with or without us being conscious of doing so. There would be no point in having a will of our own if we were not given the choice between following Christ or not. Christ holds the key to salvation; He is not going to force it on anyone. What's Jesus wants from us is our faith and obedience.
@Testallthings ; Jesus Christ died and was raised to life. This work secured the gift of salvation once and for all, for all those who believe in Jesus. A gift is given but the receiver has to receive to complete the exchange. One can hold out his/her gift all the time but if the other refuses to receive/take the gift, then the gift remains with the giver.
@AfternoonLatte The true gospel is God's promise to save HIS people (the elect) conditioned on the atoning blood and imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ ALONE.
When God converts one of his people to the truth of the gospel He gives them faith to see that Christ Jesus met ALL of the conditions for the salvation of HIS people.
@ Testallthings; Each time a person receives or refuses the gift of salvation, he/she exercises an act of his/her own free will. This act of receiving/ refusing is governed by his/her obedience or disobedience in believing what God has said about His gift of salvation through His Son, Jesus.
I agree with meggy8868. D Prince teaching is excellent. "once saved always saved" is total nonsense. Rev 3:5 - a christian can be *blotted out* of the book of life. Heb 10:39 - But we are not of those who draw back to perdition but of those who *believe* to the saving of the soul. Same point here Joh 3:36 -He who believes in the Son has everlasting life, he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.
Salvation in NT is both past and continuing present tense
"Whatever you say, will happen". True faith works miracles, but what kind of blindness affects so many people today? Faith and love build an extraordinary, winning duo. So grateful to Derek Prince that he opened the eyes of a great number.

Derek Prince taught that Christ's death was not enough to save sinners, but the free will act and obedience of the sinner was also needed, which is blasphemy and another gospel.
quote exactly where he taught "Christ's death was not enough to save sinner, but the free will act and obedience of the sinner was also needed." Quote them in full context. Have you heard "born-again sinners?"
Derek Prince believes that through the cross, atonement has been made AVAILABLE. Still one must appropriate the gifts of salvation by believing in Him who was sent. John 1.12 says that those who receive Jesus are given power to become the sons of God. We are not children of God by nature; a miracle of faith must occur. We believe not by our will, but by the will of God (John 1.13).
Faith without works is DEAD. (James); Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith... unless you fail the test? (2 Corinthians 13) He who I am a pastor's son, i went to church twice a week thought myself to be holy. Recently I actually began obeying his commandments and living for Christ. The spirit confirmed to me and I am a child of God, and I had my assurance of salvation for the first time. I walk with the Lord now daily. Derek Prince preaches truth. My life is a living witness.
also, be careful how you read the word. Even the scripture you quoted in JOhn. It says that we have the POWER to become sons of God, BUT it's up to us to take that gift of not. And if we truly take that gift, we take everything that comes with it, obeying his word, striving for purity, hating this world and sin, even suffering for His name. "For by grace you have been saved, THROUGH faith" (ephesians 2:8) and like it says in james, faith is followed by evidence of deeds. The bible was clear.
Is sinner have to repent before salvation ??? What the Bible says about ? Acts 2:37-38
37When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?" 38Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
And how can You repent of Your sins if it is not Your own will ???
He preached in Roman Catholic churches in order for their salvation - that was his goal, by his ministry I was delivered from demons and curses. I thank GOD for Derek Prince.
Though I never met Derek prince in person, His teachings in books, CDs and videos brought me up spiritually, and now though out of the body, he is a God sent blessing to me, my entire family and anyone I come across. Yes, I believe he was a human being and prone to human error just like any other, but one fact is that he heard God. I am sorry for you that you feel you lost your money on CDs e.t.c - I recommend that you listen especially the msg: It Cost Jesus all He had. JK

@Testallthings I think I agree with your statement "When God converts one of his people to the truth of the gospel He gives them faith to see that Christ Jesus met ALL of the conditions for the salvation of HIS people"
However, isn't the person who is truly a child of God going to also have the sort of faith that shows fruit ? I'm guessing Mr. Prince was talking about those who don't walk the talk. Those whose faith is not from God but perhaps a fleshly faith.

@Testallthings those are very bold accusations, do you know that a false prophet cannot glorify the name of jesus "if they are not against us they are for us" - when jesus's disciples claim their are men casting out demons and performing miracles in "jesus name", and that it is an issue, jesus clearly dis-agreed. yes jesus died for our sins period, but we must continue acknowledge that truth, i believe salvation is not a one off decision.
@Testallthings oh please give me a break............obviously you dont read your bible for u to come up with something so stupid... or you are a satanist/ illuminati agent/ free mason posing as a christian in a bid to discourage christinas from hearing the true message of Jesus Christ. I have listened to many of Derek Prince's audios in the past.
I wasted alot of money buying cds from his ministry website.
He is an arminian, who believes in the heresy of universal atonement and salvation conditioned on the free will act of the sinner.
Furthermore he preached in Roman Catholic churches and fellowshipped with them.
He was a very nice man, probably the nicest false prophet that I have ever known, but he was still a false prophet who preached another gospel.
