Possibly the best gaming mouse I have used. The only thing I didn't like was the macro button. One day my friend was playing with it and clicked it and made a massive macro playing around on my computer. When I sat down I clicked once and thought my computer was being hacked because it was going totally haywire... following that macro... I turned it off right after that.

@Battlefield1996ftw As I recall I had the software for the mouse loaded at that time, it was on another computer. Through the software that it comes with I think I unbound the button, and cleared the macros. It was long enough ago that I forget the complete process. If I recall the macro button is actually a "mouse button ##" or something like that. Sorry I can't be more help.

i have problem with DPI buttons... ican select in setings my three diferente DPI`s but i can only use two buttons.. midle buttons not reacting..first times when i connect mouse all three buttons work fine but after driver instal i can only use two DPI buttons :/ ... how can i fix this ?

my right mouse button keeps hanging sometimes, funny thing is this happens also with my new ms laptop mouse .. cursor is also jumpy sometimes.. The razer habu was the best mouse i have had.. till it started double clicking by itself.. at least it lasted 2 years.. must have been the ms part that failed :p..

been using mine since it came out, the scroll wheel is starting to go but other then that its still all good. I would agree that the mouse buttons can be hard to press after a couple of straight hours gaming and your hands start to freeze... The side buttons are too difficult to press in fast paced games, but when im on the internet they're great for going backwards and forwards between webpages.

I dont use the weights since i like my mouse to move as fast as possible. Ill give it 9/10.

5/10 mouse its too big for my hands and this mouse is not good for strategy games like starcraft II and Heroes Of Newerth. The scroll button is too noisy and sometimes the cursor lags. The buttons are a bit hard to press when long time use gives strains to my hand. Only good thing about it is the looks and the programmable buttons that's it.

@xxxTheFakexxx That button opens the 'my games' folder for me on vista, I don't have games there so It's a useless button to me. You should be able to open the Mouse controls and turn it off if you want...

@xxxTheFakexxx You have to download and install intelli point if you use XP. Then you get to the mouse options menu where you can adjust sensitivity and stuff like that.

@XabiDellugo Most games that need macro are the ones that has a COMBO movements, ex: up+left+left+right+left. Or you may use it in MMORPGs that use buttons 1-0 for buffs.

Gamers world, man. You don't need macros on CoD or Race Cars, or Ghost Recon. Use it in Cabal Online, RAN Online, etc... Koreans! hahahaha

I actually really like this mouse I myself try avoiding companies that don't specialize in one product because they tend to be companies that make cheap low quality products (HP is an excellent example) but this one looks like it may be worth it... I just looked up the x8 version and I have to say it looks a lot better than this one and it combines the wirelessness(so a word :P) of the G7 and the 4000 DPI(...ness XD) of the Lachesis and it's coming out in February 2009 so it's coming out soon!!!

Your logic saying that it wont be able to beat anything because it adds extra (possibly useful) features is very ignorant and narrow minded. You may own a razer mouse but that doesn't mean it is the best mouse/brand ever. The person before you mentioned razer and logitech and you had to defend razor (not that i have anything against razer or logitech, I'm actually planning on getting a Razer Barracuda sound card and I own a Logitech mouse and keyboard). But it's also mostly personal opinion.

I just bought this mouse yesterday, returned a razer because it was just too uncomfortable to use. I love how the sidewinder feels and works BUT the stupid lights inside never go off and cause it to get very warm. Trying to find a way to turn the lights off (or even disable) or this one's getting returned too.

if you play counter strike for example.. then u can record ur weapon purchase so whit one push of a button. so next time u respawn u just press that button and u got all ur weapons there.. :))

A macro is a series of actions assigned to one button. Let's say you're playing a playing a game and you want to do an action that requires you to press F12 and type the word "taco".

1. Press the record button on the mouse.

2. Press the button on the mouse you want the keystrokes assigned to, let's say a thumb button.

3. Press "F12, and type "taco".

4. Press the record button again on the mouse.

Now everytime you press the macro button then thumb button, the "F12 taco" command will execute.

Yeah, it can record a lot... the only thing it won't pick up is mouse movement. So it only records key and button strokes. So essentially, you can record, type a sentence in notepad, then stop recording, and bind the macro to a button, and hit that button to type that sentence whenever you want, lol.

There's a button right in front of the two side buttons, which is flat and black. Press this in-game, and then press a button that you want the macro to be bound to. after you press said desired button, do whatever you want to do, then hit the black "record" button again. That's it.

this mouse is really nice, some people may complain that it's too big, but it fit perfectly in my hand, the cable anchor and accessory box are useful(which the logitech G9 doesn't have). I consider this one on pair with the G9.

Depends on what your needs are. Personally, I love the G9 (because I do gaming and not a lot of intense explorer work) but if you do a lot of hardcore video research and such, then go with the MX Revolution, advantages being the scroll wheel is easier to acess, and it has a sidescroller that's kinda nice to set as a volume control.
