@kyleduderings Let me explain... he's trying to "trick" the enemy when he's using Dead Ringer. If he dies as looking like a spy in one hit, it's fricken obvious. Although, if he looks like a Demoman, for example, than it's not as obvious and lowers their suspicion. So no, it's not a bad thing to disguise as your own team... that is if your using DR. If you aren't, then your just stupid. LOL.

All these retards saying "hurr you should never disguise as a scout" are completely wrong. Go watch actual good spies like stabby and you will see him disguise as a scout on many occasions. Scout is a throwaway disguise, one that you can use to get past enemy lines and when you actually want to do something you disguise as something else. Why would you want to disguise as pyro or engineer or sniper and have people catch you and that disguise being wasted or embedded in their mind?

@mankykid1 that's just it though, good spies use the scout disguise while cloaked because it has the smallest model and reduces your chances of being bumped into. They switch disguises before decloaking and attack as one of the other classes. This guy is just doing all his work with a scout disguise though, which simply isn't the best way to do it. Even moderate level spies shouldn't try to fool people with a scout disguise. and if people see your disguise, you just hide and change it. Simple.

@AtomNator I'm sorry but that's not logical at all. If you can make them think you're on their team it's far better for you than to make it obvious your a spy. People KNOW what a dead ringer is, they aren't going to let their guard down just because you dead ringered. If you're going to use THAT strategy it's better to disguise as a friendly, because then they don't think they killed a spy, they think they killed a pyro or a soldier instead, and they're more likely to let their guard down.

Still don't understand why you called the engie's buildings 'infantry'. And btw the very fact that no one disguises as a heavy makes this disguise quite reliable, the only problem being movement speed. Also that spy didn't have to be a noob, he could have tricked you with the DR like you did a hundred times in this gameplay. (yes, backstab doesn't kill a DR spy with full HP)
