Guy J and Henry Saiz are one of the current few producers who understand, just like Petter did back in the day, that melody is what drives a song. if you have no melody and just beats and noise then you have just the Minimal requirement of something that can be called a song... hence why it is called minimal. and this clearly has a beautiful melody. that is what i think anyway.

"the beat is minimal". There's no such thing as a minimal beat. minimal by definition is stripped down techno, and so minimal can't have a defining beat. Most people, when they say "oh this is minimal" actually mean "tech-house" but they don't know that. This cannot be minimal, it has a progressive melody with a great number of additional elements - the opposite of minimal.

Minimal might be really popular at the moment, but it's boring and unoriginal with any old teenager in his room producing generic shit.
