I feel that both partys were out of line... this group of PETA members should have done a better job of getting there point out there, and the students should have expressed the way they feltmore calmly. If this was approached peacefully then the members would have taken down the posters. I myself am a proud black woman and an avid PETA member... Do you know what PETA stands for? This is why I love our campus. That "exhibit" toured to other campuses without much quarrel. I remember seeing that exhibit on my way to class and it WAS offensive. An image of a baby seal being hunted IS disturbing but to compare it to... no. That is NOT respectful to those who suffered. Way to go Cal students for being so aware and not blindly accepting everything that a "just cause" throws at you. I think more than anything that the diversity of our campus brought about this awareness.
