I have been living in Jordan for 6 months and FINALLY found a store that has Jiffy Cornbread mix. I have been hungry for this and anxious to share it with friends here. Imagine my dismay to discover that it is not halal. I did not expect that I would have to search ingredient lists in Jordan like I did when I lived in the States. Damn those devils at Jiffy!
@mhatter51 Wow, I'm surprised that Jordan would even have the Jiffy brand since it's not halal. It states gelatin right on the back of the box. I hope this recipe helps!
