  • I like.

  • can someone PLEASE subtitle this?

  • the integra is amazing

  • I AGREE WHT TaLoCc sAYs..............@Dehmonkie u only TALK MORE BUT NOTHING 2 PROVE

  • Holy crap, those first few skids were sick! Ah, Nomuken, by far my favorite drifter.

  • DAMN............evn keiichi tsuchiya couldnt do dat shit wit ff carz....O.O"

Keisuke hatakeyama didnt evn hav to use da ebrake on da carz.....

  • I like the fact he chooses not to use the harnesses :) hardcore.

  • LOOK SINCE YOU GUYS LOOK LIKE YALL KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT WHEN IT COMES TO FWD DRIFTING WHY DONT YOU MAKE A VIDEO AND POST IT ON YOUTUBE TO PROVE YOU POINT? anybody can type.but do you have the balls to do it?

  • cool shades on hakateyama, he kinda looks like young keiichi

  • best itr ive seen so far hands down

  • lol @ 1:19

  • Keisuke Hatakeyama will always be the one & only FF Drift King ...

  • tbh FWD depends on the angle of the bend, the speed and the car setup, and car itself

take the naughty integra at the end

the speeds its goin around the bend means he can get more angle in the bend, if too much angle comes, simply applies the throttle to bring the front around, but weight can be put over the rear wheels to help the back come out at slower speeds, and a ton a camber angle for the back to slide out for the more grippier car. im 16, so i though id say wat i think from my view :D

  • FWD drifting isn't as fun as RWD drifting and is a litte challenging but I hope the info. I posted below helps grasp a better understanding of FWD drifting.

  • @Dehmonkie The definition of fun is very subjective, some like the challenge and some don't...

  • Unlike a RWD a FWD car can maintain spin and a longer drift as long as there is corner clearance for the FWD car to continue backing up within the corner (A FWD enters the corner from the inside and continues to fall backwards to the outside of the corner). Where as a RWD can maintain a longer drift as long as there is enough corner clearance to move inward (A RWD car moves inward as it continues to drift towards the inside of the corner.)

  • @Dehmonkie No....a RWD Car can drift around any corner or in circles as long as it wants to, if its a good driver they can drift sharp or deep in the corner, so they could go off either side if they wanted to. FWD Cars slow down on drifts and will eventually stop if they KEEP GOING for a long time, whereas a RWD Car has untill the rubber on the tires is gone..

  • You DO NOT!! Counter steer in the same fashion as a RWD but instead return the wheels to a straight alignment. This allows the inertia of the car to fall backwards as you begin to exit the Yaw of the turn allowing more corner clearance and still maintain full Rev. to the wheels. Once you have cleared the Yaw in the corner you then let go of the gas and allow the car to return with out rapid counter correction.

  • In FWD cars there is no need for clutch kicks to maintain an extended drift or e-brake for stronger angles in short corners like an RWD. The front tires will remain spinning at top speed (RPM) in a FWD car. Typically in S curve corners the first corner needs be hit hard to get the tires spinning so that the FWD performs a burn out into the second corner of the S curve.

  • FF drifting is all about top speed at the top of the Yaw in the corner (full rev, typically 2nd gear drops from 3rd) An entry method similar to 4WD drift, unlike RWD cars that can drift from any speed.

  • Awsome =] and FF drifting is possible

  • autocross > drifting

  • @evrae205 apples > oranges

  • man and you didn't think the ff cars could drift!! hahahahahaha.

  • is FF driftin focused on the e-brake?

  • It helps, bu this guy is just gunning it then giving it a half Scandinavian flick around the corner

  • @002xk00 Depends on the wheelbase length, cars with shorter wheelbase will require more handbrake use versus those with longer ones...Keisuke Hatakeyama prefers the longer EF-chassis compared to the shorter CRX one since it recovers from a slide slower.

  • hahahahaha...

OMG! that was so freaken funny!

    Watch at 1:20

haha... that shit crack me up!

  • lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL AE92

    sweet

  • Just hand break and feinting, different world tho.

  • Im tired of people complaining that FFs cant drift. Obviously they can and if you cant dont diss others because your rollin in a '92 Escort tryin to drift.

  • FF cars cant drift!..i mean any car can drift including FF's its just the feeling of a real drift aint there...trust me...i've been in both worlds...use to drive a 91 corrola gts coupe FF ebraked it all the time...got rid of that got a 95 240...n its way more different with FR...you have so much of ways to start a drift

  • The feeling of the drift isnt there? Its there you just cant power over.

  • Man. I think everyone who says FF cars CANT DRIFT havent seen this vid. Like the long drift from 6:00 to 6:05. Hall hail FF cars. They put your mettle to the test.

  • Nomuken was really freaked out!!!

  • I love how they're not wearing seatbelts. Buckle up for safety kiddos...

  • 6:03-6:04 wow..that was cool

  • FF Drifting is very hard, done it in a '92 Escort. It is impossible to be to be smooth without loosing speed. The car must enter the corner sideways at SUICIDAL speeds to have any speed at the end; Arab Drifting. At the corner exit it drifts with no counter like a 4wd would until it loses momentum then under steers. Lack of counter and speed out of a corner may look bad, but the entry is also the fastest you are going sideways and in an FF it MUST be faster.

  • exactly takes way more skill then an freakin easy rwd

  • fwd drift is not as cool to watch, but anyone who says it is easy or not fun has probably never drifted. there are a lot of people on youtube spreading bad information and insulting things they know nothing about. most of these idiots probably have no idea how to go fast, much less drift.

  • Im rallying with a Nissan Micra and opposite lock on FF is extreamly dangerous

  • haha first time i took my car on a high speed rally track i had a little oppo lock and ran through a barb wire fence haha. never crashed it again tho.

  • FF needs handbrake to drift right? If thats so, i aint getting an FF otherwise drifting aint gonna be cool for me...

  • check out fwdrift. com - Help the fwd drifters get a community started

  • any body have any idea what that is at around 0:30 seconds? tightening strut? suspension extention? i have the same type of celica and was wondering what it was and if they adjusted it cause thats what it appears like?

  • its a toe arm. adjusts rear toe

  • the LEVIN sucked at drifting...

  • Nomuken was freaking out.

  • thats pretty cool!

  • MY DRIVING THEORY ABOUT FF DRIFTING: FF cars can't drift but it can go over-steer by pulling the e-brake.

Q:But why do FF cars can't drift?

A:Cause FF cars are made to recover from too much over steer or not so strong over steer. So when the rear slides the step on the gas and a slight counter-steer could make the car go recover from over-steer.

  • they do drift, drifting means that a car has opposite lock and the rear has less grip so it's drifting as u can see

  • theres a big contraversy about fwd cars and drifting. in my opinion fwd drifting will never look as good as rwd drifting. it was a pretty dope vid though. ae92 looked awsome.

  • That's why it is referred to as "FF Drifting" ...

  • @bagdouche true, but its not just about the way it looks, its about the skill that goes in

  • @bagdouche I think that to drift you MUST drive an rwd car. You can only powerslide in an fwd car.

  • @whyshywank How can you "powerslide" in an FF car if no power is being used to induce a slide in the first place?

  • @apexdna Kinetic energy that a car posseses is the "power". Sooner or later FWD cars loose it during sliding through corners while RWD's can use throttle to replenish it without causing understeer as FWD's would.

  • @whyshywank Power = throttle control, NOT "kinetic energy"...

  • I loved how that Integra sounded

  • drift with FF car?! it is sucks!!

  • Love that itr

  • How said FWD cant drift?

  • FF CARS ARE CHAMPS FOR UNDER STEERING.

  • making the FF's proud!

  • Without seatbelt?? ...

  • can any one trnslanet what he sayd?

  • i respect that guys mad skills

  • haha i do dat with my 1990 prelude its sooo hard to keep it sideways

  • Lol, they dont wear seat belts do they.

  • nice teg homie

  • nice vid.

  • that was sweeet~!!

  • Ha. Wow. Very easy. Pull the handbrake. and steer inwards. Kind of like drifting a rally car without the handbrake.

  • He wasnt using the handbrake, in was using a feint drift. If he used the handbrake (i think i saw it at a moment in the video), it was for keeping the car sideways when the revs are low at the end of the drift. Don't think that Fast n Furious Tokyo drift is the real thing. It isn't. It's a MOVIE.

  • The feint is when you swing the car the opposite way before you enter the turn, then swing it back and follow through. The technique he was using is this video is the dyanamic drift. Basically you just enter the turn way too fast, let off the gas and turn the wheel. The front loads, the tail lifts and swings out. You then just compensate with throttle to keep the car sideways. It's actually very difficult, dynamic drifting is the most difficult of all techniques.

  • Hahaha "The most difficult of all techniques", you're just parroting what you heard in that Drift Bible video. For one thing, since these are FF cars you can't "compensate with throttle", that would just cause wheelspin understeer and they'd fly straight off the outside of the corner. What it looked like they were doing was left foot braking, since their rears were locking and their engine was revving but they weren't using the handbrake.

  • Great video never seen this before!
