Yes, "Shukar Collective" is, but my understanding is they are a union of traditional older Romani musicians and younger, more electronic-based people who combined the 2 things. The older group may be called just "Sukar",as I remember.I know they have CDs out.

Romanians came from Rome (actual Italy) and they established here, betwen danube, black sea, and carpats, but Romania as a country has been formed in 1859. After that, a lot of giosi came from India...but they are not romanians. Documents show Roma (or Gypsies) in Romania from the early 1300s. -long before 1859.

Sa creezi muzica electronica pura din muzica tiganeasca e o provocare pe care astia au reusit sa o indeplineasca calumea. De altfel, multi DJi seriosi sunt bagati in proiesctul Shukar Collective.
