Once in a while a movie comes along which seeps right into you. Just like a winter's landscape this movie was bleak, dark and unforgiving. You know a movie is superb when the story and the characters makes you uncomfortable and feeling a bit unnerved. There were moments when it felt like I was watching a documentary because the acting was so genuine and real. This is a heavy film and I highly recommend it.
I still think she's too old for Katniss. and she's PALE. Josh Hutcherson as Peeta should be decent, though I'm not sure about Liam Hemsworth for Gale.
@coPurple11ok WHO CARES?!!? AS LONG AS THE ACTORS ARE GOOD IT DOESNT MATTER!!! IF YOU DONT LIKE IT THEN DONT WATCH IT!! I'm sorry, i'm just kinda sick of people saying that, cuz what are the chances of finding such a fantastic actress that looks exactly like they describe her in the book, same age, same color skin. ppssh, people expect too much
@lorororora Because thats what they do in Southern Missouri dumbass....they eat the fucking deer and use the skin for themselves in winter. I guarantee you don't have it nearly as bad as the people down there have it. This is really what its like and this stuff actually happens and its sad.

@spitboi7 Ummm! I live in sothern mo. , and I think you are pretty simple minded to make a statement like that. I have a college education, and I dont do meth. Its the show me state, show me you are not totally retarded.
@romnsch13 I have a college degree too and I am not simple minded you goof. Your probably a sosh major ffs. I know that it isn't all like this. I checked the census and it is pretty huge so I doubt you know what the majority of the Ozarks are like. Especially when it also is in another state (Arkansas).
I am from MA and there are places like this in Winter's Bone in a minutia of the state - therefore I am positive this is prevalent in much of the Ozarks as your state is huge, area wise.
@spitboi7 I am a paramedic in the heart of the ozarks. It is creepy in some places here, but it was creepy in some places in humboldt county ca. where I was raised. I gave up the ambulance here, but I am simply weary of humanity in GENERAL. One must learn that people are basically the same wherever you go, their moronic little evils just manifest in different ways.

Okay, fine, I admit it. I suddenly don't think that she will do THAT poorly as Katniss.
