I don't think that Kamkars have difficulties to switch from kurdish to persian and vice versa. It is the same culture and so close languages. For me the same! It is not the case of a kurdish singer in Iraq, Syria and Turkey who should change even their soul, not even their language and culture. A great salut from my part to all persians. Hope that this common culture and history make them understand the kurdish question. (I am a Kurd from divided Kurdistan, the part occupied by Iraq)
I am both Kurd and persian and feel kurds are real childern of Iran and our source of pride in our culture music and all other walks of life. With all my heart I love Iran and Kurdestan.

The words are from a poem of Tahirih, a 19th Persian poetess and one of the first followers of His Holiness the Bab. Her last words, as she went to her execution for her beliefs in 1852, were, "You can kill me as soon as you like but you cannot stop the emanicipation of women." Thank you, Tahirih, the first woman suffrage martyr.
Daf, Dayereh - whatever it is - to this ear it is magnificent! I could listen to it over and over. It opens the heart, nourishes the soul, and breathes new life to the spirit. I'd be so grateful to know everything about it...

دوست عزیز you1tube2009
اگر این شما را خوش حال و راضی میکنه، اشکالی نداره، اما باید به افکار خود طاهره هم توجه کرد و دید او خود را متعلق به چه مرام و خاکی میداند.

the poem is from the 19 century Babi poetess Tahareh.
She wrote this ghazal in praise of her Lord the Bab.

"And aching heart has woven Thy love
within the pattern of my soul,
stitch by stitch, strand by strand,
thread by thread and pleat by pleat."

"With separation from Thee,
the blood of my heart gushes out from my eyes,
torrent after torrent, river after river,
wave after wave and stream after stream....

I am wandering like the breeze,
from house to house, door to door,
place to place and street to street....

The poem begins:
"I would explain all my grief,
dot by dot, point by point,
if heart to heart we talk
and face to face we meet....

How moving. My heart is aching, it is sooooo beautiful, but what is she saying? Can someone provide a translation into English, please?
