  • This sounds beautiful!!!!!

  • now this is some REAL epic shit! :D

  • Owww ok maybe a little too much bass, tone it down a liiiiittle bit...

  • This is the way Metallica should sound.

  • Then why bother having a bassist? I would rather hear some bass then NONE at all. That's Metallica's problem. You can't hear bass worth shit. That's why I love Iron Maiden so much, because you can actually hear bass in ALL there songs. And not even today's "Metal" has bass.

  • sick.

  • this song has a fukin loud bass anyways... making itstronger only makes it epiic

  • You should make one with enhanced bass that isn't TOO enhanced. I wanna hear the bass but I wanna hear the rest of the song too.

  • love that snarly bass sound - great album

  • when 2:48 starts i feel tears on my face. simply beautiful

  • how did you enhance the bass?

  • I love the quick ascent Cliff does right after James sings "Flash before my eyes..." It's an interesting little touch that makes me respect him more as a bassist.

  • Yeah, it's badass, but it's not the perfection that the original is.

  • Ow man, i love this! Its always stuck in my head!

  • FUCKING BRUTAL. I love this. :D

  • if metallica put the bass like a frontman, they will be the next iron maiden

  • love it - Cliff Burton - one of a kind.

  • sounds so much better this way

  • I'd like to shove a bass up Flemming Rasmussen's ass

  • @metalshark69 then fucking do it :)

  • ...really like these man....wish they'd release more so we can hear more of these......cheers!

  • james's voice changed a lot since the 1980's

  • @MidnightTheOne he damaged his voice, he sings opera life to heal it

  • Primus style lol

  • @SgtZaqq Primus sucks! :D

  • 666 likes O_O

  • OOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

I JUST noticed that the album picture is a ELECTRIC CHAIR, INST A MICRO!

  • Cliff is surely in valhalla, playing bass for the gods.

  • cliff's bass power

  • SHUT UP AND ENJOY THE MUSIC!

    ╭∩╮(︶︿︶)╭∩╮

  • 2:32 LOL i Like playing that part in the bass |m|

  • i love this shit so much i get naked and swing my dick around i nthe air like i just dont care

  • @Creedo77 good for you.

  • I feel so cheated I bought the regular album...

  • @groovingrover32 hah get it on vinyl, u can hear the bass a bit better

  • friggin awesome

  • 15 people were killed by electric chair!

  • When I heard this, I got a boner.

When I remembered this is the sound of a Rickenbacker, I came.

When I realized it's been this way all along, I filled a carton of milk with well, milk.

  • i love this verson...more than the oringal

  • Sounds scary :D

  • Comment removed

  • 617 people love Cliff Burton...

  • thanx 4 this!!!!!!!!!!

  • 15 people's mouses lagged or got sentenced to an electric chair... xD

  • its a tad too loud in my opinion, everything is drowned out a little :/

  • cliff burton is god, that bass line is just amazing

  • After almost two decades loving these songs, I feel like i'm listening them for the first time.

  • The bass line during the beginning of the solo... just awesome

  • anyway we could download this?

  • maybe with soundtracks like this, more bassist would be born instead of guitarrists

  • @cheseecake

Well surely if were that way, I'd be saying the same about guitarists needed to be born.

  • @gold3npimp well, you can still hear the guitar and sounds bad ass

  • @cheseecake My only complaint about Metallica albums! It annoys me that I can't hear bass in most songs!

  • @thedescent666 bass isn't meant to be heard especially in thrash metal so deal with it unless you wanna go to this new crap of what new generations call music

  • @dqrockerboy80 Then what's the point in having a bassist if you cant hear him/her? That's why I love Cliff-era Metallica, because you can still hear him in most of the earlier stuff if you listen to it. So yeah, actually learn what's important to a band before you try to argue your dumbass ideas.

  • @idrinkpudding Well im more experienced than you so i should know what music should have and dumbass think about it the only time a bass player should be heard is if they are great but if you wanna second guess then that means you suck

  • @dqrockerboy80 Ok but... where's your proof that you are more experienced than me in anything? Without that proof, any argument you make is invalid.

  • @idrinkpudding Not really jackass i play guitar and bass for 7 years and my band experiences are great and for that fact the bass is supposed to line the music out not to be turned up too damn much! jesus christ go get a fukin life or a girl friend

  • @dqrockerboy80 Just because you played that much, doesn't mean you're any good.

  • @idrinkpudding Just because you are stupid doesn't mean i didn't fuk your mom when i was drunk hahahahahahahahahaa now shut it up

  • @idrinkpudding trust me, if you have played in a band for 7 years, I think you might be good. And you are stupid with your gay argumentss

  • @Metadeth1997 You're only 14. Shut the fuck up. Just because you were in a band, by no means does it mean you would be any good. Oh wait, you aren't guarenteed to be any good at all or progress to be any better in those 7 years.

  • @dqrockerboy80 That just proves that you're an immature dick who can't provide good arguments, so you resort to insults (which aren't very good) when you realise your childish ways don't help you on the internet.

  • @idrinkpudding You started it you gay nut suck

  • @dqrockerboy80 Ouch. That really hurt. Try harder dude.

  • @dqrockerboy80 You pick fights with people and talk too much about how "experienced" you are, that's a sign of insecurity and musical immaturity.

No offense, but if you have an opinion about a certain arrangement then you should voice it more politely than you've done so far.

  • @Laurelindo Don't start with me because of my opinion and this is why i hate America and their ppl even though i am from america

  • @dqrockerboy80 wtf did u just say? bass isn't meant to be heard in thrash metal? why even start an argument with some1 who has the downs ...

  • dident dave mustine do the orignal lead guitar?

  • @Joey71420 yes but he was kicked out before they recorded kill em all, however he did write, ride the lightning(the song),call of the ktulu, and 4 other songs that were on kill em all

  • @GMGMage Actually he has writing credits on those songs, but not just himself. So you can't really say he completely wrote them.

  • @GMGMage he didnt write em he CO wrote them. that doesnt mean that metallica did a crime or so. he was in the band when they wrote those songs he was a metallica member so metallica didnt steal anything.

  • Now every time I listen to the album version it sounds... incomplete.

  • FUCK YEAH!!!....sooo RAD!!!

  • Bass in front and guitar in the background?

    Fuck yes.

  • @ma369rtin The way it should be!

  • @ma369rtin especially with Cliff on bass... but even Jason didn't deserve that crap that they pulled with him...

  • @ColdColdColdGround Yeah, I know it man. A lot of the bass he done with Metallica was outstanding. Just look at To Live Is To Die, no bass studio but listen to it live and you're blown away by the bassline.

Metallica really needs to re-release ...And Justice For All with either enhanced or redone bass, I'd buy it.

  • A true tribute to Cliff Burton( the best bassist ever hands down) Well done man. F'n awesome!!! RIP Cliff :(

  • I want to hear Creeping Death with extra bass.

  • Cliff Burton's bass has such a unique sound to it. Too bad it doesn't come through that well in most of their songs.

  • Lovely.

  • how i can download it :c

  • sounds great - love it

  • Cliff ´s bass has a lot of soul in it

why the hell they didnt make him louder in original.......

  • i guess thats the max of how loud it can go...if it goes a little bit lower it disappears again (original song) but i honestly think its more wilder! for ppl who understands music and have good hearing they could listen to everything if they wanted... (rythym and drums)

  • sounds very good.

  • @aatefmagic my guess would be that this is for bassists who are wanting to learn the song so the enhanced bass would be necessary for us

  • @yomammaonastick thats what guitar hero metallica is for ... there's bass only shit out there too. This just sounds better then the original. Maybe its a little too loud, i think it sounds great. His fills kick ass ... and you don't hear them in the original recording. But as a bassist this won't help much. You need to hear the raw recording.

  • @RAWFLCOPTR metallica where not tuned in a studio, unlike most stuff nowadays, this is pretty much as it sounded, if this is the genuine bass turned up, all you need to do, is work out what effect cliff was using

  • metallica +more bass = FUCKING AMAZINGNESS

  • 3:55 is one of the reasons why metallica is one of the best bands ever...

  • @JoeMetalmancy cliff burton never used a pick. he just cranked up the treble. its actually his fingers that you hear.

  • can't fucking dislike this. as a bass player this video fucking rapes me and it feels so fucking good. Cliff was a genius. just listen. just listen... 3:43 *.*

  • cool, but I do hear a little something that kinda sounds like maybe guitar pick noise.

  • this is fucking beautiful.

  • God, I love the solo of this track...

  • HOLY SHIT

  • why the original is not so! blame on them

  • It's actually cool that you've done this, some of Cliff's bass parts on this album were out of time.

  • its the same but the bass is turned up louder

  • This sounds so much better!!!!

  • This is awesome, sounds so much better with audible bass!

It did make me laugh that there was an advert for "visit Sweden" during this though!

  • @overture13 that's just wrong:p

  • @overture13 haha whot?! im from sweden =)

  • @horror4ever1997 Cliff died in Sweden in 1986! so it made me laugh when on a Cliff Burton video there was an advert for visiting Sweden! hehe

  • head aching : D

  • (insert head smashed on keyboard due to epicness here)

  • Why isnt the bass this loud on all metal albums!! seriously why even bother recording the bass if u cant here it! the bass gives the song a whole new texture.

  • @lolzomfg0rz

the bass is pretty sick tbh thats how it should sound it makes it "exist"

  • Dont really like this bass... But as it is metallica... how can you dislike it??

  • The bass is a bit too loud during the solo. The rhythm guitar is inaudible.

  • hell yeah! this is sweet

  • R.I.P. Cliff!!!!!!!!!!

  • bass way too loud.

  • @chubstar666 Says "enhanced bass".. It's supposed to be loud.

  • sometimes i wish the three first albums sound with enhanced bass!!! well at least i can barely hear it in every song!!!!

  • @SuperBrictson its is good at it is now...this only serves to listen to the bass for a little bit and then return the awesomeness of the guitar

  • Good idea for a Metallica tour:

MetalliDeth featuring Dave Mustaine on lead guitar.

The tour picture would be Vic Rattlehead in an electric chair.

  • @iwasfredfredburger67 wheelchair + battery

  • waaayy too much bass in this one for my taste. Sounds more like you played it over the song in my opinion.

But I would like to hear the bass better in almost every Metallica song, especially on the Justice album.

  • Comment removed

  • Goddamn, stick me in that electric chair and hit me with metallica all fuckin day long

  • Goddamn, stick me in that electric chair and hit me with metallicfa all fuckin day long

  • This is bitchin. BITCHIN! Like it.

  • i wish i had a bass.

  • people do not believe that this is the original track of the song, because it is too incredible ... it's hard to believe ... I do believe, because his name was Cliff Burton (the master of bass)

  • i think its my fav metallitrack at the moment

  • 13 bullets for a shotgun because 13 people disliked this video -.-

  • @gurvirj95 shotguns shoot shells, not bullets

  • @rth095 yeah i know i said bullets because the earlier comment said bullets...

  • @gurvirj95

LOLOL shotguns use shells which sprays many pellets in one shot. Not bullets.

Therefore the douche who was thinking it was a good idea to do a cliche'd "herp derp X amount of people need shot derp" failed rather epically as he didn't have the knowledge of what a shotgun takes therefore maxergud got 10 thumbs up.

  • @dbzsony slugs are sorta like bullets....

  • @andrewds98

Slugs? Do you mean shells? And no, a shotgun wouldn't take bullets, it's not right and it doesn't sound right anyway.

  • @dbzsony sorry what i meant was that the projectile is simmilar in shape

  • why do the dumbest comments get so many thumbs up?

  • Somehow, this lacks some of the "power" the original version has.

  • @tiagoflor1 I can't understand this at all. How can it lack power? The song sounds way thicker. Bass gives a song power and a backbone, especially in a live setting.

  • 13 reasons to wear a condom

  • @Mastodon212 BEST COMMENT EVER YOU HAVE MY BLESSING !!! XD

  • @Mastodon212 some one didn't listen now there are 14

  • @Mastodon212 lmao thats a pisser :P

  • THIS IS HOW SHOULD'VE BEEN, FFS!!!

  • CLIFF 'EM ALL!

  • This song doesn't really need added bass but this version still rocks!

  • its james, dave wrote some of the riffs and lyrics. thats why they credited him

  • @SocialDeth yeah dave only wrote the spider chord riff if i remember

  • @1bol1 dave said he wrote that main riff at 0:20 too, you can hear the same style in peace sells titled track.

  • And this is why we all suck compared to Cliff. Rock on almighty one. Nice one.

  • Its awesome hearing Cliff shining through on one of Metallica's greatest songs, BUT this is a tad too much for an album version--the guitar loses its crunch in the mix. That being said, Cliff was mixed down a little too much on RTL & MOP.

  • @paublo84 I have same thoughts. This is good but the album version has more power. This is only for those who want to hear bass.

  • I think the only reason anyone could think this is too much is because they are used to barely being able to hear what a bass sounds like.

  • @blackxd42 No, even though the bass and guitar sit mostly apart from each other some of their frequencies do mix so having the bass too loud in the mix can really suck the power out of the guitar.

  • @HundeskatexD such and original post about how many dislike, YOU ARE SO SPECIAL AND HILARIOUS LOLLOLOLOLOL.

  • @Crypiyo How original to whine about it -.-

  • @HundeskatexD bullets? for a shotgun?

  • I'm a bass player myself, but wow, that's a tad too much bass, lol...but it does rock

  • 13 like sucking dicks

  • thank you thank you, i have it on my mp3 now and headbanging while listening lol

  • i just NEED to have this mp3 can you PLEASE upload it on rapidshare.

i want it on my mp3 player

  • @ravenshield888 pm me ur email

i have a lot of metallica remasters

  • As long as I can hear the bass then it's FUCK YEAH!

  • @RIVR2319 YES!!!!

  • Dude dont mind these people who think that this sounds shit. THIS SOUNDS FUCKING KICK-ASS.

  • @damissinglink100 no this sound like shit

  • @damissinglink100

    Uh, yeah, no it doesn't.

When the bass is drowning out the fucking DRUMS, there's a problem.

Honestly, I dont think he even put up all these videos to sound good, but rather so viewers can hear how the bassline sounds the whole way through.

  • @Scarecrow545 As a bass player, I say "fuck that man, this is awesome."

Thinking in terms of balance and structure, I agree with you completely; however, I will say that this is much better than the bass-inaudible recording. But definitely man, Rush would never like bass this loud, and I think about Rush when I think good balance/sound quality.

    Hakuna matata mate.

  • @tatersalad814

Well, as a fellow bass player, I would still disagree haha.

Perhaps if Cliff didn't have his bass overdriven/distorted throughout this album, this'd be a bit better. IMO Kill was his high point for bass tone.

  • @Scarecrow545 High point? It was his FIRST recorded album and he didn't get to display his writing talent on it. His best work was on his last album with the band, "Master Of Puppets".

  • @uofm97

Please learn to read. I said 'high point for bass tone'. Nothing about best playing or writing.

  • @Scarecrow545 Yeah, I did read that perfectly. You could hear him best on KEA (though I think the production took a bit of his power away since it was so sterile and dry), but I thought MOP was his best sound....when you could actually hear it. He had a lot of distortion and grittiness on that album that I like.

  • @uofm97

I think Ride has his best distortion sound (see: Bellz, Ktulu), but a lot of the time, when he was playing in the lower register, the actual body of the bass was distorted, so it was swallowed up by the guitars, and you could only hear some clicking and overtones. I've 'learned' to hear the bass on RTL and MOP, but it's still not as clear as KEA.
