Brian! I have an interview Monday afternoon and it is going to be 95 degrees outside! I'm a woman - what should I wear that won't make me break into a sweat?
@Gratificationow - you can wear something lightweight and cooler as long as it's not in any way transparent--keep it conservative. You'll likely be sweating enough just being in an interview, so do your best to stay out of the heat in advance. If that's not possible, arrive early for the interview and duck into a nearby bathroom (air conditioned) to get prepped for the interview.
hey brian..just wanna ask.. my interviewer today left me in the room to get the IT head to interview me.. should i stand when she stand and get inside the room?
@momointhephils - yes, always stand up when a new interviewer enters the room. Be ready to shake hands when introduced, although let them make the gesture for shaking hands first.
hi there I looked a lot of tips in da net but your 1 is the best .Thanks 4 keeping these vdo on da net .These tips are really valuable and lot of people can learn lot of things which they didnt know.
What about 2nd interviews? First interview was with HR, second is going to be with hiring managers and other managers/employees.
I don't want to wear the same thing for the second interview (conservative dress) =(. I have a light green shirt that matches well with the suit I wore for the first interview. Any advice?
@thearaban - sure, you can mix it up some. It sounds like you only have one suit (or perhaps only one suit that would work well for the interview). You can change up your outfit with a different shirt, etc. If your suit is conservative, HR probably won't remember that you wore it to the first interview.
Thanks, for the interview tip. Would wearing a white shirt and tie be ok? Because it is atrociously hot in California and I do not want to be sweating in front of the interviewer.
I have an interview tommorow and I am gonna wear a grey suit with 0purple button shirt and purple tie that matches anyone think its appropriate or not
The grey suit is probably fine, but the purple shirt and tie probably are not. Remember, you want them to focus on you, not on your purple shirt and tie.

Hi Brian, can you wear black and white?
ilmare102 1 year ago
@ilmare102 - you can, but you should give it some color in your accessories (tie for men) or you will look like you're wearing your funeral suit.
