  • If you live 5km or less away from the gym... make it routine to bike or walk. I'd say jog, but you'll probably be too burnt out for ur workout. Just a suggestion. Btw some girls go to the gym right after work, they might not have had time to remove their makeup.

  • Rowing machines are the bomb for cardio. your gym (hopefully) has a couple of concept II rowing machines. check out a few videos online to get the form down and go for it!

  • hey jillington! whenever i went to the gym i'd get on a recumbent bike or a treadmill and what you do is keep going til the time is up and they usually have tvs near the cardio area to watch and if not then listen to some music and the time will go by faster.

  • I don't like doing cardio at the Gym, is really boring, so I suggest if you can, jog in a nearset park, or if you found some good monumental stairs, use them run the stairs up and down, I really like that, but if you can only do cardio at the gym, well I recomend you to listen to music that you like while doing it, create a playlist of songs that you like corresponding to the minutes you do in cardio :)

Guys mainly would go there and it was a place with only free weights, weight benches, and other heavy implements for mucle development. No goddamn treadmills, bicycles, and the other equiptment required to make it health Club.   • A GREAT TIP FOR CARDIO.....grab an mp3 with a fast pace song that you like or a couple of em and then watch a TV show where you dont have to listen to be entertained like sports or that show where they show jewlery up close all the time cause their tryin to sell it....stuff like that and trust me the minutes will fly by...half the time we quit with cardio isn't because were tired its because were bored, so bored that we'll convince ourselves that were tired...

  • A good way to get cardio (at the gym) without a treadmill, is circuit weight training, but it is also hard. You essentially lift weights, take a minute at most, then do a set of something else, give it another minute, then another set of something else...best is to take no breaks, and your heart will be racing.

    Running obviously is a cardio workout, along with any type of treadmill or whatever your gym has, swimming is a great cardio workout, and one I rarely see anybody doing at the gym yet can help just as much as running or swimming is jump roping believe it or not

    there is a large number of physical activities u can do to stay in shape and keep those arteries clean, but the majority of ppl hit the gym because its the most effective "sport" for getting , or keeping, that attractive body

    if u dont like it, go ride a real bike or do some layups at ur local court

  • Hey Jill, I don't work out anymore. I found that after I hit 58 the routines don't work for older bodies with worn out joints (I mean real creaky) . Whatever you do please lessen the impact to as little as possible and keep from being like me. Do stretches, swim for cardio, aquacize (pool exercize) for strength and kick box for all around fitness and actual self defense. I wish I had known then what I regret now. I'm not too bad as long as I don't run or lift heavy stuff.

    I would really recommend a kickboxing or kenpo cardio class or something similar...its fun and empowering and it flies by..seriously, I HATE cardio..running, spinning,swimming..nothing even comes close IMO.

    chest and triceps on Monday

    back and biceps on tuesday

    legs and shoulders on thursday

    on thursday I'll not only warm up with the rower, but do 5 mins running on treadmill, then 3 mins at a step incline jogging

    works well with the rest of my busy week

  • Oh yeah, I always start off with weights before going to cardio. If you're looking for an awesome cardio workout, I would suggest the collapsible stairs (stair treadmill) if your gym has them. They kick my ass:^)

As long as I have been going to the gym (around 9 years) people have used the gym as a good place to get laid. After all, people are walking around half dressed, and there are hormones floating around all over the place, and glistening sweat on toned bodies. It actually makes more sense that going to a smoky bar or club. Can't be behind you on this one.

  • About 10 minutes at amoderate pace on a stationary bike is good enough after a workout. It will help you sweat and flush the excess Lactic acid from your muscles that can cause soreness the next day..good luck

  • well i've recently heard of a way to do cardio, you do intensely, like sprinting on the treadmill or high level on the bike or elliptical for 1-2mins and then rest for half the time you did the exercise and then repeat around 10 times

    i like to do day 1: chest, triceps, and shoulders 2: biceps and back 3: all of my legs

  • When I go to the gym (YMCA), I run as much as I can first. Then my private parts will go numb and the women cannot tempt me into the Devil's work.

    In reality, I run and run on treadmills and tracks both, then get so sweaty that only people with really bad sinus problems will even use the same equipment, let alone get aroused by my massive physique.

    I don't go to the gym, I have my own workout room but I want to go to the free recreation gyms, no way I`m paying for a membership fee..lunges with holding dumbells in your hands is good cardio in the gym. Outside the gym, I like biking to the beach and basketball is a good workout...BTW, you are so hot:)
