  • Awesome video!

  • No more Saudi oil. Solar power rules!

  • No more Saudi oil. Solar power rules!

  • aww has anyone seen the video where the solar panels on a house catch fire and burn it down? or how bout the one where the panels just slide off the roof and hit the owner? god i love green, it makes me feel like a smug asshole :D

  • THIS VID. SUCKS BALLS!

  • WTF!!!!! You people do not see the freaking chemtrails in the sky?

  • A practical tip. Good work!

  • The 'Good life'.?

  • very nice video.. & surely solar power is great

  • nice cow

  • @graveyardclassic hahaha u made me laugh

  • @Luc3r01 thnxx atleast i'v made some one laugh ...hoho

  • I like the cow !! she is so good loking...very good movie .solar energy is the best energy source we can have !

  • solar power is UNeconomical, and it has not been since it was first devised!

hell even with federal help today,it's not!

it takes many decades for the amount of energy generated by EXPENSIVE solar panel, for the intital investment to be payed back to the original owner,if the owner moves out of the house it's a huge lost of investment.

    news flash!

the world has moved on with atomic energy, yet USA has not..which is fucking sad for my country who invented the first atomic reactor!

  • Great video...I converted my home to a net-zero solar powered home that uses no oil or gas...I made a video about it called, "Preparing for Peak Oil"....

  • if anyone want to buy the perfect solar panel.please check my profile, i have list site here. you also can be given big coupons.

  • They're still on the grid, their system doesn't provide enough electricity in winter months.

    A wind generator would help.

That old house is probably not very well insulated.

Beautiful place, looks like they need to mow the yard.

  • if anyone wants solar energy for their home in AZ message me

  • Nice, I uploaded a video of my Grid-Tied home wind turbine project, take a look if you're interested in home solar energy. My install of home rooftop wind turbines and solar panels is in my videos, Subscribe to my channel if you like, I'll be posting more stuff. Thanks

  • what we need is faggots

  • The solar panel technology has to significantly improve, Weight, Lifespan, Efficiency and cost has to be reduced before there will be a useful migration to solar power.

  • They like being independent but tax payers had to pay half of their cost. I wonder how much fossils it takes to make a solar panel.

  • @kingmike40

the funny thing is that, WITH TAXPAYERS FUNDS,its still not remotely economically feasible, and worth for the average consumer to buy....

World has moved on with atomic energy's yet the USA is in limbo...why? Why haven't their been any new Atomic power-plants built in many decades in the USA?

3miles wasn't a danger to the public, due to the containment dome which Chernobyl did not have, which allowed the spread of radiation with out an dome.

    The cause was Soviets

  • Great example of people living a really good life, while being environmentally friendly as well. In areas with cold winters 3000 kWh is probably difficult to achieve for most homes, but you can indeed have considerable saving anyway - for example by installing solar thermal heating for your hot water during the summer.

  • Beautiful home and way of life.

    This is what I want.

  • Visit GCI Energy or call 800-700-1995 if you live in Socal. Save a bundle with solar panels or vinyl replacement windows. Great work and service.

  • where I can buy this?and sell them in other countries in the world, like Europe countries sides

  • We Use

    1750 Kwh Electricity

    1200 Kwh Natural gas

    Yearly

  • Be smart - don't pay any more electricity bills. more info: solar.xfollow.me (Copy to your browser's address bar)

  • I would do it ! but I looked into fully powering my house by solar - 100% and in my area it would be like 90,000 dollars... who has that money.... they don't want you to be self sufficient america is a consumer based economy...self sufficiency is frowned upon too bad it would do a lot of good...

  • This is great if you live in a sunny area. I think it's a good idea if you can afford it-- and clearly this couple can afford traveling across the WORLD for a year with no jobs and looking for a home. For me, I just can't afford it. Impossible though it is great for the environment.

  • This is just what I need to give Big Brother a swift kick in the ass.

  • Damn right!

  • ahhhhhh....finally a video that touches me in a positive way.

My wife and I are considering an older (1910) farmhouse in Norfolk, Virginia USA and energy conservation is on our minds. Being right at sea level, a well for water is out, but the idea of solar generated electricity only makes sense after the time and energy well be spending on all the insulation areas

Thanks for the information and a little nudge toward our next steps would be wondeful.

    Peace to you and yours,

    Robbie

  • thats because you are a failure at life.

    fall by the wayside loser.

  • greenbeenie60. Don't give a rats eh?

Energy prices are set to rise another 40% this autumn. UK electricity bill is going to leap from an average £1300 to £2600 virtually overnight.

    Still don't give a rats?

  • People need to stop asking fucking questions. We americans will fool proof it when it begins to become the norm for every household. Give the inventors achance to perfect it. Damn us spoiled Americans just want to have everything perfect and ready for us. lol

  • perfect it? get your head out of your ass. solar has been in use effectively for thirty years. just keep listening to the corrupt, oil oened government for your opinions. "we americans will fool proof it"...lmao...

  • sorry dont give a rats but.. most people will be like me if you can save money over time, awesome. If not this still wont catch on.

  • Great idea and makes total sense. What about hail storms? How much wattage is put out? What about battery life? - I am assuming that the panels charge batteries that feed an inverter.

  • Hello.

I would love to have this installed in my country, (Mexico).

Do you think I can get somebody with experience to do it here? Or can install it myself with specific instructions?

  • If you installed it yourself, how much would it really cost? Just buying the materials I mean. No install fee. Besides the electricians fees amybe..

  • great to see people having a go! it won't be long before new free energy technology is introduced stuff that was discovered decades even centuries ago but has been suppressed

  • I did the same. Now it powers my hydro radiant heat pump and heater.

Also I have a biofuel generator as extra power. My car is biofuel too.

I mulch all my leaves in the fall into a fine powder and lay 3 to 4inches over the topsoil. By late spring its a worm bed and the best soil.

  • Thanks!!!

  • Enjoyable and inspiring. Thanks you.
