I was using a pretty small 16G at 8lbs of boost moron. On 24lbs a tC makes 500+whp. What does a DSM do on 24lbs....let me guess, no where close to 500whp. So, what turbo kits do they make for an old FoxBody Mustang with the original motor in it. Most people with a tC who actually get them tuned and boosted and what not....KNOW it's not from Japan dude. And no any car CAN'T perform given the setup, why? Because the Aftermarket doesn't support just ANY car. The car for one has to have an aftermarket, two it has to have a decent chassis (which the tC gets it's chassis from the AWD Toyota Avensis). All the time I see that generalized comment of "Any car can be made to go fast". To a degree, but for the most part comment is not true.

@illeagleracing Its called the FWD class for a reason. Secondly the current Modified FWD Time Attack champ (PTunings Scion tC) constantly out laps other drivetrain platforms. There are vids of it passing up R35 GTRs in the corner. Then there is the Unlimited Class FWD Time Attack champ (World Racings Scion tC), that is always top 5 fastest cars on the track. When we are talking REAL racing, a fast car is a fast car regardless of its. Drivetrain. That's a true Tuner view.
@illeagleracing To put into perspective, the. Track record was set at my local track by the unlimited class AWD AMS Evo X. The track record is now 1:01sec which is blazing fast here. The World Racing Scion tC (still being FWD) ran a 1:03. In the Modified class the Forged Performance R35 GTR ran a fastes time of 1:07. PTunings Scion tC (still FWD) turned a lap time of 1:08.
IF your motor isnt worn out and IF you tune it properly. NOW will it last like this long,,,,,,,,,,,,,,NO but still a good 6 months or so and youd eat tcs with WAY less money

And the car came with the trd kit suspension short shifter etc... cars weight 2720 with 277whp vs a gsx weight over 3k all wheel drive not helping after its rolling and mine dynoed at 298whp

You couldve baught DYI exhaust 100 bucks, downpipe 99 bucks, fuck the manifold at this point you dont need it, a cheap ass afc or equivalant 200 bucks, t4 66mm cheapass turbo with trimmings-ext wastegate etc 1100, fuel pump 99, injectors 225, good clutch 400 bucks,act etc, methonol injection 200, Dyno tune 1-200 depending and just this will put 378-420 whp.,,,,,,,,
AFC = Failed and not even worth the hassle. Besides that, it doesn't even work on a tC. You want management on a tC then it's either an Emanage, Emanage Ultimate, AEM FI/C, or the standalones if you got the extra dough (Hydra, Haltech, and AEM).
AFC is for cheap asses who don't understand what real tuning is.

I guess if you call walking on STIs, Evos, 350z, S2Ks and other cars (or beating cars pushing 400whp) as meager gains then I guess it would be meager. But that's not meager in my book when the car comes with only 160hp (140whp) and adding a turbo with little boost and it effectively handles 350-400whp on the stock motor before needing internals.

I can pull up vids of 6sec Scion Pro Drag car, to a 9sec All motor tC, to a 10sec Turbo tC (that now runs 9s also), to a Time Attack tC passing up an R35 GTR in the corners on the Autobahn Country Club race track, to a Time Attack tC owning the track records for FWD at various race tracks around the country, to 600, 500, 400 and on down street driven tC's. where the hell do yall get these turbos from i see all these scion tc's on youtube and i hear turbonetics(which supposedly sucks for high performance) and ptuning which is cool and all and this other one called ZPI or something like that gimme a simple answer of where to look at turbos for a tc my girl wants one BAD
it's not an automatic. you can't move an automatic shift lever down (1-2) and right/up (2-3). Also, an auto won't bounce off the rev limiter like he does.
well you can still manually shift in an auto tC(1st,2nd & 3rd at least)... so you can bounce off the rev limiter all you desire. however, the automatic gearbox will downshift for you in respect to your speed. for instance, if you start accelerating from 0 while having the shifter in second gear, the car would actually be in first, but once it shifts to second, it wont go up to third unless you put it to third, or back into Drive.
but hey, i should have gotten a manual. fuck 4spd.
oh yes it will.. haha if u look @ my vid i shift my auto tc jus 2 have fun.. But in the rain or even when i go through a puddle i redline it like a bitch. haha
this is a pretty sick tc. oh and im pretty sure its a manual becuase, in the begining he is shifting and around 3:49-3:54 the car rolls back when he's about to give it gas...an auto doesnt roll back..and it doesnt say PRND32L under the rpm guage.I could be wrong though...anyway its a badass tc

with the exception of the rev limiter in first, I really don't think the shifting is too bad. he's bouncing off the limiter in second because he's getting NO traction (look at speed going to third ~50-55 mph, which is about right). Even my stock tC 5spd can peel out pretty badly going to second and it chirps again going into third... he just needs better tires. and first is so short that i wouldn't be surprised if redline would catch the driver by surprise if he's not used to the turbo yet.

I was using a pretty small 16G at 8lbs of boost moron. On 24lbs a tC makes 500+whp. What does a DSM do on 24lbs....let me guess, no where close to 500whp. tC has 9:5.1 compression in the 05-06 year and 9:6.1 in the 07 year. When built, people usually go down to 9:0.1 compression. Defending a 17k car? So, what turbo kits do they make for an old FoxBody Mustang with the original motor in it. Cause if it's allowed to either build the motor, or do a stroker kit on it, then I would/should be allowed to do the same (and yes BC makes a stroker kit for the tC). And with the PTuning kit, it would be deep into the 11's, trapping 128+mph and everything else. My tC has value you forget that dumbass. Again comparing old junkers to a brand new car is another typical Ricer talk I come across.

Most people with a tC who actually get them tuned and boosted and what not....KNOW it's not from Japan dude. And no any car CAN'T perform given the setup, why? Because the Aftermarket doesn't support just ANY car. The car for one has to have an aftermarket, two it has to have a decent chassis (which the tC gets it's chassis from the AWD Toyota Avensis). All the time I see that generalized comment of "Any car can be made to go fast". To a degree, but for the most part comment is not true.

@illeagleracing Its called the FWD class for a reason. Secondly the current Modified FWD Time Attack champ (PTunings Scion tC) constantly out laps other drivetrain platforms. There are vids of it passing up R35 GTRs in the corner. Then there is the Unlimited Class FWD Time Attack champ (World Racings Scion tC), that is always top 5 fastest cars on the track. When we are talking REAL racing, a fast car is a fast car regardless of its. Drivetrain. That's a true Tuner view.

@illeagleracing To put into perspective, the. Track record was set at my local track by the unlimited class AWD AMS Evo X. The track record is now 1:01sec which is blazing fast here. The World Racing Scion tC (still being FWD) ran a 1:03. In the Modified class the Forged Performance R35 GTR ran a fastes time of 1:07. PTunings Scion tC (still FWD) turned a lap time of 1:08.

Not really i had a 96 gsx spent prolly like 2k on it did real good dont get me wrong off the line there's no comparison, Now i spent 15hundred boosted my tc came with the trd kit already suspension and all and ill tell you my gsx would never even come close to my tc on a roll. only way it would win prolly be off the line

You couldve baught DYI exhaust 100 bucks, downpipe 99 bucks, fuck the manifold at this point you dont need it, a cheap ass afc or equivalant 200 bucks, t4 66mm cheapass turbo with trimmings-ext wastegate etc 1100, fuel pump 99, injectors 225, good clutch 400 bucks,act etc, methonol injection 200, Dyno tune 1-200 depending and just this will put 378-420 whp.,,,,,,,,

AFC = Failed and not even worth the hassle. Besides that, it doesn't even work on a tC. You want management on a tC then it's either an Emanage, Emanage Ultimate, AEM FI/C, or the standalones if you got the extra dough (Hydra, Haltech, and AEM).
AFC is for cheap asses who don't understand what real tuning is.

How cheap you can build a car does is just ONE aspect of peoples choices. Other aspects include "Personal Taste". I guess if you call walking on STIs, Evos, 350z, S2Ks and other cars (or beating cars pushing 400whp) as meager gains then I guess it would be meager. But that's not meager in my book when the car comes with only 160hp (140whp) and adding a turbo with little boost and it effectively handles 350-400whp on the stock motor before needing internals.

I have one freind with a tc and its ok but not in the same class. I raced scca for years in a rx7 roach but got out of it due to cost at the time. A tc on 10 lbs of boost? I couldnt guess without knowing alot more than that, turbo size, intercooler, etc etc. Im no Tc wizard by any means because im just not impressed with them,,,,,,,,,,,,

@rhythmnsmoke before you ask the talon runs mid 9s, turbo mustang runs mid 8s, the nitrous mule runs 9s and the junkyard dog in the 11s with a 2.3l ford trubo engine and yes its a pile but alot of fun. Only the talon could run on a roadcourse and i have no idea what it would do(prolly run hot with current set up). I hate the tuner scene because of the ignorance of the majority of the so called tuners saying this and that about imports rule and domestics suck lmao, thats just stupid

And depending on which East Coast race tracks get secured by Redline Time Attack, I might be coming to NC. It's still up in the air on what ones they get. I run Time Attack and do a lot of AutoXing. And funny how your comment of tC's being a joke is merely opinion, but the flipside of it is that a tC owns the lap records at various race tracks around the country in Time Attack, the first FWD Pro Drag car in the 6's is a Scion, and Multiple championships have been won with a tC.

I can pull up vids of 6sec Scion Pro Drag car, to a 9sec All motor tC, to a 10sec Turbo tC (that now runs 9s also), to a Time Attack tC passing up an R35 GTR in the corners on the Autobahn Country Club race track, to a Time Attack tC owning the track records for FWD at various race tracks around the country, to 600, 500, 400 and on down street driven tC's. You opinion is your opinion, but it's not reality just keep that in mind....lol.

it's not an automatic. you can't move an automatic shift lever down (1-2) and right/up (2-3). Also, an auto won't bounce off the rev limiter like he does.

well you can still manually shift in an auto tC(1st,2nd & 3rd at least)... so you can bounce off the rev limiter all you desire. however, the automatic gearbox will downshift for you in respect to your speed. for instance, if you start accelerating from 0 while having the shifter in second gear, the car would actually be in first, but once it shifts to second, it wont go up to third unless you put it to third, or back into Drive.
but hey, i should have gotten a manual. fuck 4spd.

this is a pretty sick tc. oh and im pretty sure its a manual becuase, in the begining he is shifting and around 3:49-3:54 the car rolls back when he's about to give it gas...an auto doesnt roll back..and it doesnt say PRND32L under the rpm guage.I could be wrong though...anyway its a badass tc

just couple questions for you man how much money did it cost you like in total because im thinking of buying a turbo for my 05 tc 5 speed and i just need somebody to tell me honestly how much they paid for that because im looking to buy a JDM'S 03-06 SCION TC 2.4L 2AZFE T3/T4 TURBO KIT BOLT ON for about 1,459 and its able to go up to 30 psi's on this turbo so is it good or not you can find it on ebay because thats where i found it and love the car man sound really good and runs great

with the exception of the rev limiter in first, I really don't think the shifting is too bad. he's bouncing off the limiter in second because he's getting NO traction (look at speed going to third ~50-55 mph, which is about right). Even my stock tC 5spd can peel out pretty badly going to second and it chirps again going into third... he just needs better tires. and first is so short that i wouldn't be surprised if redline would catch the driver by surprise if he's not used to the turbo yet.
