@JFrankeTheTanke strum pattern spans two measures and then repeats. 4/4 time. here's the count: 1 2 3&4&. R& 2 3&4&. here's the strum motions: v v v ^ v ^ . ^ v v ^ v ^. R is rest. you strum down on the first note of the pair (the numbers) up on the second 8th note of the pair (the &s). Sometimes Green Day guy is sloppy and doesnt follow any pattern, but this is the one I use and it sounds OK. haha. good luck deciphering what I just wrote

Yes the music is redundant, Some people say its a beginners song and I wouldn't necessarily disagree with that if you want to use one strum pattern thru the entire song. I play this song a lot and it can get real boring fast. You have to mix up the strum patterns thru the song and arpeggio the song in parts. Personally I think the song is a cool song and if your a decent guitar player you can appreciate it as well.

It is a Canadian news/documentary. At one point, they say many very successful people have ADHD.They run baseball type of cards quickly on screen.

BJA is on one of those cards.

As a dad who has a "mild" case, as well as 2 of my 5 kids,this is encouraging. ADHD may lead to distractability when bored uninterested etc ,it can allow you to "Hyper-Focus" on the things you love.You can reach heights others will never reach,more in part2
