I bought this LP from a $3 discount bin in the early eighties and LOVED it. At that time thing binds my friends were all listening to were KISS, RUSH, Def Leppard, and Hair metal bands so they were like WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?! I'd make them trade. "If *I* have to listen to a KISS song, *you" have to listen to one by YMO or Lene Lovich."

My brother always took home the hottest music in the early seventies and eighties. I remembered this one but this music is very hard to find nowadays. So thank you for this upload. I never got have guessed that Sakamoto would write even more interesting music. I can recommend his soundtrack ( Merry Christmas mr. Lawrence also with vocal version ).

I love those low strings! Most people think those are from a Prophet-5, but in fact, this song was made largely on a Polymoog Synthesizer. You can actually hear the single-trigger filter on the strings in beginning...
