This summer, 2011, I visited Coney Island but could not see any traveling circus sideshows or freakshows in the amusement park area, sadly. There were no World's Smallest Woman sideshow, Snake Woman sideshow or Freak Baby museum of Dr. Takeshi Yamada, sadly. Instead, I saw a new amusement park with giant thrill rides and rollercosters, which can be seen in any other amusement parks. I miss those classic sideshows in Coney Island!
The giantess was an obvious model that they claimed was the Cardiff Giant. This was at Dreamland 2009, on the former Astroland site, which was replaced with Luna Park in 2010. Luna Park isn't pay per ride. You ahve to spend at least $30 to do anything there but eat and look around.
I love sideshows. His freak baby show was the best this summer in Coney Island. I also saw him with his sea rabbit or fish-tailed mermaid rabbit there.
Last July (2009), I saw this freak baby museum in Dreamland Amusement Park in Coney Island (Brooklyn, New York). It was really awesome.(He was using recorded bally when I visit the show.) He is a famous and eccentric New York City performer and artist, Dr. Takeshi Yamada.

I saw this Asian sideshow barker this summer in Coney Island amusement park. He had a giant snake on his shoulder. what a great guy!
