@davknz So according to your logic if I got a 10 HP DC motor and compared it to a 20 HP Honda or Kohler gas engine in a torque duel off, then the gas engine would be more powerful?? Do you like to bet money? If so I would LOVE to bet all my money in my bank account that the 10 horsepower DC motor would win. You would not wuss out would you? You guys are running pretty good, but I mean its not that great! I would say great is running a 7 inch packer in the hole in an hour and a half on a 6 line in 3rd! And that was to 9700', there was some pipe moving that day! Like I said though, you guys are still rolling along pretty good. Oh and the running in 3rd was how my operator liked to do it back then, nowdays we run in 4th on most and 5th on some.
Man get outta here with that service rig shit, anyone can trip that fast on a service rig. Lets see you trip in on a real rig and see how fast you are!

Hmmm the good 'ol days. I used to drill on a double single service rig in Saskatchewan Canada. Loved hi-ballin pipe in the hole. Remember trippin a cement retainer to bottom (4700') in just a c_ _ t -hair under an hour. The 'ole brakes were a smokin. Runnin like that isn't acceptable or tolerated up here nowadays... not safe. Sign of the times I guess......
I love all the workover rigs posted!!! where are all the big rigs? We send it down that fast on a Rocket Rig running tripples... 10 line in High-High. the only thing slowing us down is that worthless ST-80. but enough of the big dick contest. yall be safe out there
I rig in Alberta Canada. This is how we roll up here. Usually around 35 seconds a stand. A good run is around 32 second a stand. Running 4 line in 6th gear that is mind you.
That's pretty fast check out my video though I make three connections to your two. But still good timing. I hate pipe riders too
