Everyone here is commenting about how the Supra is faster and so much better than the M6.
Has anyone considered that the M6 is totally luxurious but performs to within 95% of this supra?
Most people might have ridden in a supra - it's been around a while and isn't super expensive. Most people have NOT ridden in an M5 or M6. Ride in one, or better yet, drive one, and you will understand.

@adokenk3nnbasil The Supra was actually a $40K+ grand touring sports car back in it's day. That's anything but a ricer. That's one of the finest cars ever made. Also did you even watch the video? The Supra dusted the M6.

Although Supra's are the only only japanese car I have respect for, the ricer cans always gotta be moving and can not get off the line. The only time Rice boxes win is when there moded HP is way higher. there not reliable due to the fact your getting so much power out of a small 4 or 6 banger. Give me a big block and alot less cash and it will go over and over with out being in a shop all the time.
@gu81singh its not called turbo error really its just the motor was tuned with racing fuel and when using pump fuel the same setting wont apply meaning that the engine calibration of fuel and spark plays an enormous role in dictating knock ( known as lean, Stoichiometric or rich ) behavior of an engine. so its not really up to the driver how he drives the car. dont be calling ppl idiot if u dont know whats happening :D
@gu81singh let me explain a little of whats happening here, this supra is getting lean meaning more air then fuel because octane is a measure of a fuel's ability to resist knock. The octane rating for pump gas ranges from 85 to 94, while racing fuel would be well above 100. The higher the octane rating of the fuel, the more resistant to knock get it now ???
its because the idiot that owns the supra needs to do some cooling/supporting mods.just throw some reinforced hoses,mabye a radiator,good thermostat,oil cooler and that thing would be a lot better.

the bmw m6 is newer then a supra with a v10 the supra has a inline 6 with a turbo inline six is small go ask anyone but its the turbo that gives the supra the edge also look at the price difference, how much you pay for a m6 you can maybe tune a supra to achieve 1000hp then what ?

Its not faster than a TT Gallardo because its cheaper than a Gallardo, if that was the case, the record holding car would likely be a civic. Clearly the supra platform is simply amazing.

The supras small inline 6 has beaten much larger 8 and 10 cylinder cars, also with forced induction.
take better informations..that 1 wasn t a stock car at all..even the block was modified,and garretts were larger than my bedroom..the only "common" thing was drivetrain..and it s a dragster with 1400hp..what's the sense?..what's the comparation?who are interested in doin a race this kind?who had tried before he simply wasted less money in that nonsense project..coz it s not a problem at all to reach 1500hp(turbo or supercharged) even with a 3.5cc block..just a question of money..and stupidity...
Stock engine block, I didnt say the entire engine was stock. I said it had the stock transmission and had its full interior. Obviously quite a few people are interested in seeing who has the fastest accelerating street car in north America. It isnt a problem reaching 1500hp, but for some reason the supra holds the record. A twin turbo Gallardo with an enormous amount of money invested in it went slower than the record holding supra.
With 3 dollars invested, a supra holds the record.
3.4 block isn't supra stock at all..as i said before..inform you better..and the interior doesn t mean nothing..you ve just seen a video about it..the opponents aren t these you have indicated..at last..transmission wasn t stock..stock final one was too short..(anyway they set it too long for the trial..mistakin and being limited to not using the 6th gear..) so i could have modified it personally and it would have been from toyota all the same....strange thought....and gearboxes aren t stock if shortened and so on..try to use a N group this way and no one would let you join a race in that cathegory for example..this thing is contemplated just by you..but if you like it so much buy one to discover its defects..in usa these cars costs practically nothing..it's just a question of marketing..
@maxinator39 Let me start by saying i am a supra fanboy even though i own a 2003 bmw m3. While what you are saying is true, Supras dont have warranties like most of the other cars listed, so people dont have to worry about voiding them by modifying the car. Also supras have 17 years of experimentation behind them and lots of people like them from the fast and the furiouse.
supra for life... if you have the money to buy a m6 they instead you should get a supra with less money and fully mod it to beat lamobs and m6'z all day.. you can own 1 for abt 30gz or maybe less.. supra all day.. everyday..
@zenenmoro That's the owner's fault for not being up his mechanic's ass about tuning his car properly. I know I would be. I've never seen this problem before with any supra under 1000+hp.
@Conekillah The day you will buy one, you'll change your mind buddy. This one is too much "tuning", it should have been a lot more... stealth, with a bit of agressivity. Give elegant rims and paint to a Supra, go for a Do Luck bumper and a smaller rear spoiler, give it some lineage, and this car will be wonderful, no matter what power it has.
M6 is a sexy lady, but I'd sell it to buy a sexy Supra with ADV1 wheels and black matte paint.

The supra cheated... Im not sure wich one would win... Supra has an insane acceleration, just for street drag races but M6 is a monster over 5000Rpm... That V10 motor is a beast but the supra is fast as hell.. They should make another video without cheating or having mistakes.
The M6 guys comment about being a loser for breaking is weak - on that run the Supra spanked him. Second/third run the supra both spun and hit 'overboost' hence the brief ignition cut you heard.
Clearly the supra is quicker when on boost. Guys remember that on the street we are not doing runs up to 250+ as a general rule. On a quick squirt the supra (if it can get traction) will be faster. The BMW is a weapon, but I'd prefer the change left over from the Supra!!

Im fully aware of the supras weight distribution.
It may not have "super car" weight distribution, but holding the record for the fastest street car in a mile is impressive.
I basically live at sebring and I know how important other aspects of cars are important other than power output.
The type of race in this video is a drag race, therefore horsepower is useful.

The supra has gone faster than heavily modified: Twin Turbo vipers, Twin Turbo Corvettes, Twin Turbo Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porsches, GTRs, Twin Turbo Ford Gts, etc... The list goes on and on.
The supras small inline 6 has beaten much larger 8 and 10 cylinder cars, also with forced induction.

take better informations..that 1 wasn t a stock car at all..even the block was modified,and garretts were larger than my bedroom..the only "common" thing was drivetrain..and it s a dragster with 1400hp..what's the sense?..what's the comparation?who are interested in doin a race this kind?who had tried before he simply wasted less money in that nonsense project..coz it s not a problem at all to reach 1500hp(turbo or supercharged) even with a 3.5cc block..just a question of money..and stupidity...

Stock engine block, I didnt say the entire engine was stock. I said it had the stock transmission and had its full interior. Obviously quite a few people are interested in seeing who has the fastest accelerating street car in north America. It isnt a problem reaching 1500hp, but for some reason the supra holds the record. A twin turbo Gallardo with an enormous amount of money invested in it went slower than the record holding supra.
With 3 dollars invested, a supra holds the record.

3.4 block isn't supra stock at all..as i said before..inform you better..and the interior doesn t mean nothing..you ve just seen a video about it..the opponents aren t these you have indicated..at last..transmission wasn t stock..stock final one was too short..(anyway they set it too long for the trial..mistakin and being limited to not using the 6th gear..) (and naturally sorry for my english eheh)

False the getrag transmission that is native to the toyota supra is bullet proof, also THE ENGINE BLOCK IS FROM A TOYOTA supra.
Just because its stroked and has increased displacement does not mean it was made from iron and built in canada.

so i could have modified it personally and it would have been from toyota all the same....strange thought....and gearboxes aren t stock if shortened and so on..try to use a N group this way and no one would let you join a race in that cathegory for example..this thing is contemplated just by you..but if you like it so much buy one to discover its defects..in usa these cars costs practically nothing..it's just a question of marketing..

The gear box in the boost logic supra is stock, its also on the stock rear end.

@maxinator39 Let me start by saying i am a supra fanboy even though i own a 2003 bmw m3. While what you are saying is true, Supras dont have warranties like most of the other cars listed, so people dont have to worry about voiding them by modifying the car. Also supras have 17 years of experimentation behind them and lots of people like them from the fast and the furiouse.

@Conekillah The day you will buy one, you'll change your mind buddy. This one is too much "tuning", it should have been a lot more... stealth, with a bit of agressivity. Give elegant rims and paint to a Supra, go for a Do Luck bumper and a smaller rear spoiler, give it some lineage, and this car will be wonderful, no matter what power it has.
M6 is a sexy lady, but I'd sell it to buy a sexy Supra with ADV1 wheels and black matte paint.

You have to remember the supra is what like 10 years old and the BMW is mew the BMW is still not up to par with an old dinosaur as the supra that has to have a lot of miles on it andstill kicks ass you got to give it to the 6 banger it has balls through old age and endurance and canstill top over 220 mph with ease. you so not see many 6 bangers doing that every car he races has at least a 8 or bigger and still spanks their tail.

The supra cheated... Im not sure wich one would win... Supra has an insane acceleration, just for street drag races but M6 is a monster over 5000Rpm... That V10 motor is a beast but the supra is fast as hell.. They should make another video without cheating or having mistakes.

The M6 guys comment about being a loser for breaking is weak - on that run the Supra spanked him. Second/third run the supra both spun and hit 'overboost' hence the brief ignition cut you heard.
Clearly the supra is quicker when on boost. Guys remember that on the street we are not doing runs up to 250+ as a general rule. On a quick squirt the supra (if it can get traction) will be faster. The BMW is a weapon, but I'd prefer the change left over from the Supra!!
