That was a dirty hit! He hit him from the blindside directly to the head! He should be suspended for multiple games. Whats even worse though is that is some of the Blue Jackets fans seen HIGH FIVING him after that hit!! In my opinion that rele shows how both Byers and some of th fans at that game have a complete disrespect for Desjardins, the Sharks, and the game of hockey.Those types of hits should NOT be cheered at all and I am digusted by anyone who would!!

Cheap shot by Byers. He is slowly building a bad reputation this season at the NHL level. I also recall him fighting Polak from the Blues earlier this season and throwing punches at him after they went to the ice. He seems to be evolving into a cheap douche.

NARROW WIN Byers for landing one strong show which gets off balance his opponent.

The hit; i cant say about that, i have no clear opinion but i think its more a clean as his elbow didnt land to the head of his opponent. But not sure, needs to see the better angle.

Looked like his elbow gets higher after the hit but on the momentum of hit looked like the elbow didnt land to the head. One thing is clear/sure; he didnt try a clear elbow hit but if it was elbow one as it was a accident, JUST.

byers made a legal hit. its the "scott stevens-should-to-head" and according to many many nhl fans stevens alway hit legal. even if his hits end up good players carerers or at least made them never be the them again.

Being a Blue Jackets fan, I am disgusted by Byers hit. We are obviously not a good team this year, but the last thing that we need is a rat on the team like a Matt Cooke. Hockey does not need players like him. Fighters are perfectly fine, but guys that go for hits like that intentionally, are not.

This kind of hit is terrible to say the least, targeting another players neck and head can result in concussions and even paralysis. I don't care how tough you are, paralysis can destroy any players careers. I like to have a good, hard nosed fighter on the team, but not a cheapshotter. There is no room in the league for them.
