  • You, sir, are the Oscar Schindler of automobiles.

  • For everybody that thinks cash for clunkers was good for America, ask any used car dealer what it did for their business!!!

  • Cash for Clunckers needed to be much more selective on their clunkers. this vehicle was not ready for the clunker list. glad its saved

  • @rick242113 People like you are the main reason why this country is failing. Obama in 2012?! Are you nuts. He has absolutely failed this country. We have been placed into a position in which the USA might go bankrupt!! Cash for clunkers #1 did absolutely nothing for the environment or the economy. I am sure you will say it has but show me proof. It was a complete waste of taxpayer money. You are stereotyping me and you do not even know anything about me. Your ignorance has been made clear

  • @miltonautosales Sorry, I disagree with you, new car dealers and the car manufactures loved it. And all those workers that were put back to work, they certainly liked it. You know they didn't have to trade this clunker in. I am still driving my 1992 Chevy Cheyenne with 80,000 miles, which I believe was number 7 on the clunker list. . I loved this comment by the way; "It even has the upgraded cassette player with separate bass and treble controls, fader and balance...ha ha" Classic

  • @rick242113 You are speaking about something that you do not have factual information about. I know plenty of new car dealers who hated that program. It did give a brief spike in volume but the government made it extremely difficult for the dealers to receive the incentive money. Dealers were given a book 1000 pages or so to explain the process. Our government cannot even run a post office yet alone handle the car business. Who are all these workers you claim were put back to work?!

  • @miltonautosales The workers at the auto plants, GM, Ford, Chrysler, and more. They even added extra shifts to meet the demand and I might add the auto industry is doing quite well now, thanks to government LOANS. The dealers around here certainly benefited as the back lots were filled with crap and the front lots were empty. I am sure when those clunker checks came in those dealers were very happy. I even liked it, I got a low mileage cruise control module, cup holder and a seat for my truck!

  • @miltonautosales GM-Government Motors

  • @rick242113 Your sir are an idiot. Cash for clunkers did nothing more than gave the government an excuse to pay $4500 of borrowed money from china for a car that they will scrap for another $300 so the previous owner can buy a foreign car that helps us in no way at all. Im 18 and this program made it very hard for me to afford a car because now all new cars were worth at least $4500. Finally it killed used car lots and junkyards. Learn what your taking about before you talk and FUCK OBAMA!

  • congradulation, you got a great deal off of the jeep before it got Eaten up by Monster Obama. I hope you injoy your jeep cherokee she's a beauty.

  • Thank you!!!!! i just wish they all could be saved

  • It survived because of the 4.0 I6! I love this engine.

  • @elitecssplayer The inline 6 is one of the most durable engines out there. I once had a 1976 CJ with an I6. It was original, had not been rebuilt, and never had any major work performed. It cranked up on the first turn every time. I wish I never sold that Jeep!

  • I would like to thank you for saving this Jeep. I saved mine from Cash For Clunkers too. Although mine was a 1976 Jeep

  • jeeps will never die

  • I don't even LIKE cherokees, and that one is such a beautiful example, it's making me want one.

  • awesome man! thank you for saving such a fine piece of machinery!

  • @xxTornadowarrior1xxx It was my pleasure. That cash for clunkers programs was such a ignorant program!

  • @miltonautosales I'm currently driving a '98 Cavalier thats had a couple problems here and there. paid $900 for it, and so far i have got my money's worth out of it. :) if the clunkers program was still going, i probably would'nt have it right now.. :0

  • @xxTornadowarrior1xxx Glad to hear!! You can put your hard earned money into savings since you do not have a car payment!! The CfC program did absolutely nothing except spend more of our hard earned tax dollars and sink us further in debt. I do not understand how the people of the USA have not over thrown this greedy government made up of millionaires!! Someone needs to lead a revolution because the government is feeding off of the people instead of working for the people!

  • @miltonautosales tell me about it. even though i'm only 17 and not a legal tax payer yet, it still pisses me off to see precious tax dollars go to fund igonrant programs and people who want to screw us over even more. it's about time for a revolution and a fresh start from the beginning.

  • I am glad to see a good car on the road, I love what your doing man, it;s awesome. I drive a 1998 Ford Ranger, it runs like new, and it never broke down in the three years I owned it. My truck only has 197,870 miles on it. It needs work but I am going to fix it up when I get the money to, I just put new brakes and shocks on it. The coolest thing about my truck is that $35 fills the tank up. Old cars are munch better than new ones and my truck is proof that old is munch better.

  • Your the hero.

  • jesus that thing looks showroom mint. what a wasteful world we live in. my idea of a clunker is something old and brown from the 70's spewing oil and black smoke with rust holes all over and shocks that dont exist anymore. how the fuck could someone let this thing go to the crusher? i would love to have this jeep

  • You saved that ugly car? Get these wasteful V8s off the road. Maybe we'll still have affordable gas in 10 years if we can trash all these massive trucks and SUVs that are only used to carry kids to the grocery store.

  • @juliengarneau hey, you drive you plastic hunk of crap, me and my 98 ford ranger will pass you when your "new" car breaks down. How is this for gas milage, 35 dollars fills the gas tank in my truck to the full line. Try that one on for size you fucking ass wipe!! Old is better then new!

  • @JoeLil1993

Never said anything about old vs new. Just saying monster v8's are wasteful on resources for what people use them for. A good v6 or 4 cyl does the same job for less gas everytime. Unless you own a business or a farm, there is no good reason to drive a 10mpg gas guzzler.

  • @juliengarneau its an i 6 buddy... inline six cylinder engine. beast of a motor that gets me through all of the kansas seasons.

  • goo job the inline 6 on this guy will last 500,00 miles if properly serviced so it will have a smaller carbon footprint than the japanese car it was almost crushed for

  • @tingokuman People are so stupid that they NEVER take into account the environmental impact that crushing, and throwing cars into a landfill will have. Most hybrid/electric vehicles only have about one half of the lifespan that their gas-guzzling counterparts have. The savage blow that this program dealt to the world's used-car economy will by no doubt come back to haunt Obama in the next election.

  • I thought cash for clunkers was before obama

  • @thecupcakeman69 Have you been living abroad for the past 3.5 years?!

  • @thecupcakeman69 nope, it was an Obama administration idea. Did you think bush would of came up with something like that? Yeah right

  • @kalif151byccrew but 6 years ago my mom gave her car to them so i dont get how that came about

  • @thecupcakeman69 can't argue with time man. just stating a point. google it if you think I'm lying

  • @kalif151byccrew Im not saying your wrong it might have been a different program because the money went to charity not to the person who gave it up.

  • @thecupcakeman69 maybe it's the Volunteers of America they do that since forever

  • the two dislikes were the owners before this vid, they're probably regretting their decisions

  • Cash for Clunkers is probably the biggest pile of hypocrisy on behalf of the environmental left. People are spoiled rotten nowadays with all these high-end consumer goods being sold for increasingly cheaper and cheaper prices. The outcourcers of jobs to China, India, and the middle-east will be proud.

  • that pretty girl still for sale?

  • Thank you FOR SAVING A CHEROKEE! one of my favorite vehicles! You purchased an awesome rig

  • Thank you for saving that car!! It is a gem I love all jeep SUVs and I've seen other videos of them Going to the crusher with no chance. So again thank you very much for giving a perfect car another lease on life!

  • I support you 100% !!!! it's a such a shame all those great cars being destroyed for a little discount, i'm from Brazil and here cars are really expensive just an idea this Jeep in this video costs $22.000 reais so aprox. $13.000 dollars, and are perfectly usable and amazing cars ...and that what's the point "going green" destroying perfect part's that could be re-used in other cars? isn't much more worse using natural resources to produce new ones?? seriously i'm sad seeing this big waste!!

  • @miltonautosales The very fact that you gave an F U to Obama and his damned cash for clunkers program makes me want to buy a car from you. Being a 19 year old auto enthusiast, it drove me fucking nuts that the politicians were ordering the destruction of the cars I grew up with. God Bless you for saving the cars of my childhood! Just got a 1991 Jeep Wrangler that I will drive till the day I die, to hell with Obama and the freakin' prius nuts.

  • Some of the cars they accept (Cash for Clunkers) should be given away or sold for actually cheap for someone who needs it, as they are like this Jeep. Should not be run until the engine blows up. That's for cars that are blowing smoke or clanking like hell, etc.

  • 1 person drives a peice of shit hybrid/plastic ugly ass big oversized car

  • The Jeep Cherokee XJ is by far the best car you can buy. You really get alot for your money. A bullet proof motor, a 4 speed Auto far ahead of its time, a transfer case that was used in dodge trucks, solid axles like a wrangler...... all under a very practical wagon platform!

  • Even if this one were to have been "cash-for-clunked", it still wouldn't have died! You cannot kill a Jeep 4.0!

  • I see by the one dislike, your president watched this video. I must say that this was a breathe of "fresh air" to see someone take a stand against what was, to me an impeachable offense by Mr. Barrackass Osama/Obama Whatever. If I had known earlier, I would have driven my Canadian ass, in my 1993 Silverado, king cab, long box, down to your country & run over that idiot you call a president. Mr.Obama should take a special trip in a vintage, convertible Lincoln, to show him what he's missing..;0)

  • @thisisunreal1 You just submitted my favorite comment of all time!! I believe that Obama was installed into our government to tear down this arrogant country of ours! He has been doing a great job of destroying any hope that this country had of recovery. Drive on down here any time!!!

  • i love you man, thank you for saving that cherokee

  • Sir,

I commend you for saving such an awesome xj.

    please continue to be badass.

  • Is this old chassis model? -97... cant be!

  • would love to see the owners face when they see how much this sold for

  • hell yeah! jeeps are awesome. those assholes piss me off so much when they destroy these motors. and the worst part is the laughter and smiles on their shit stained faces! >:(

  • More and more people are finding out what this guy obama is all about. He is such a disgrace. That cash for clunker program was one of his dumber programs. He sent a notification to me in the mail wanting my '91 Ramcharger. This is a public forum,so I really can't say what I would like to. Yes, The Jeep says thank-you !

  • Thank you so much for trying to save these American beauties!! Obama can't get away with destroying anything white and/or American and/or European! Thank you Thank you!

  • God bless you!!! Save the xj's people! 97 first year of the wonderful new interior :)

  • C4C was so fucked up. It is a sin to destroy a car that still runs. If the government would have any sense, they would put "export only" titles on these cars, and sell them for cheap to 3rd-world countries, where they actually need cars. They sure would make a lot more than if they were to just crush them.

  • @hondacivic1992 Nicely stated!! Our Govt. cannot even run the post office properly! How in the world can they run a whole country. Oh yeah, they will save the economy by investing all our money into a failing General Motors so that the top execs can get their bonuses!!!

  • Why not actually SAVE these cars instead of crushing them? C4C was a dumb idea, it's time to do it RIGHT this time. Also, we need a program to save all the rotting muscle cars, LOL.

  • @Bittboy I fully agree!

  • I own the 2nd most traded in Car for the C4C Program, a Grand Cherokee. 150k and still going strong, Obama is going to Hell for this!!!

  • @rkoduke3d Obama is Osama in disquise!

  • @rkoduke3d nice i got a 93 ford explorer with 250k and its still going

  • @chisox52993 nice man, keep her going strong.

  • Comment removed

  • @rkoduke3d I have a 98 grand with 260,000km on it. Still running strong... that's sad to hear that grand cherokees are one of the most traded in vehicles :(

  • @norcobigfootrider nice man, Keep that thing going as long as u can before long Jeeps wont be the number one car on the road anymore, Hybrids BLAHHHH!!!!!

  • @rkoduke3d Agreed, plus it's a 4.0L, those things can't be killed easily. 12mpg :) lol

  • @norcobigfootrider before i did a 4.5" lift i was getting 22MPGs @ 65MPH

  • @Crazybuickdriver I have a lead foot lol... and i tend to off road at least once every tank of gas.

  • @norcobigfootrider haha yea i hear ya, those 4.0s are very impressive! lol

  • the jeep says thank you. :-)

  • I find it sad that the regular folk who work hard for their dollars know what is better for a Country than the high ranking Politicians that they entrust and elect with hopes of living a better life. Thanks for saving this vehicle, it will get someone to work, get a kid to school and will help create memories for a family who doesn't need to shell out big bucks for a new car.

  • @7477238 That is because us hard working individuals actually want the country to improve for all it's citizens. High ranking officials only want it to improve for their class---The Rich!!! Politicians only get into office by buying their position. An average American such as you or I could never get into office. If Congress was made up of normal everyday citizens, this country would get put back on course!! Money does not = smarts!!

  • Thank you so much for sparing this vehicle. It is a great vehicle and I would have been pissed if it had died. Again, thanks soooo much!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @DieselFreak94 You are very welcome. Our wasteful government did not put much thought behind this worthless program!

  • good thanks for saveing a car that sitll has life it in

  • @facotime Plenty of life,,,,,It is still on the road serving the new owner well.

  • Great vid man! Great

  • @BRANDON85L Thanks!!

  • beautiful car! would have gone right down the drain. FUCK obama

  • @harrisons94 FULLY AGREED!!

  • A Jeep Cherokee is not a clunker! It is one of the highest rated SUV's. Very dependable transportation! Built like, well, A JEEP!

  • @sidewindermack They last forever when taken care of!! Can you believe that it almost went to the crusher?!

  • Good work saving those beauties from destruction. C4C does nothing good for economy or the environment, just destroys perfectly good older cars that someone in the lower class or a developing country could have used for 20+ years.

  • @DAVEMC1000 It was a wasted program and a big waste of taxpayer money,,,again!

  • thanx for saving this nice car i like it .

  • @MegaMaxleon You're Welcome!

  • your AWSOME!!! i jsut watched like 10 videos of cool cars getting destroyed because obama is a moron! :)

  • @spuddapotato2494 Obama was put in place to destroy our country!!

  • All the CARS program did was make it harder for hard working Americans to find a good, used vehicle.

    What a shame.

  • @papabugs71 Very true statement. All these stimulus packages have done is waste our hard earned money!

  • @miltonautosales Good to know there still sensible people around. Regards from the Netherlands.

  • @Skoda130 Thanks Netherlands!!

  • @papabugs71 The Obama administration is doing everything it can to make it tougher on hard working Americans. You have to be a CEO of a big company (ie:bank, insurance co, auto manufacturer) in order to receive aid from the our tax dollars!! Isn't that just messed up or what?! To really stimulate the economy, the bailout money should have come back to each tax payer, divided up on tiers. More going back to those that have paid more tax. Not to save mega banks etc!! What a waste!!!

  • ur gas gauge just went down at like 5:09. did u sell this car? how much it go for?

  • The cash for clunkers program was seriously flawed... it should have been for "clunkers" not old cars people want money for. Good job saving this Jeep....

  • @X9xATIx7X Fully Agreed! This program did absolutely nothing to help the environment or the economy, just like the rest of Obama's ideas!! Worthless!

  • @miltonautosales All these cash for clunkers videos hurt me to watch... not only because I own a Jeep Xj and hate to see them hurt, but because I hate to see any perfectly fine vehicle go to waste. I can't stand Honda motors, but I still wouldn't want to watch one in perfectly fine condition be destroyed.

  • Who was going to crush that?

  • @Brendan194 Your Govt!!

  • @Brendan194 I have been wanting a cherokee

  • Obama and his clash for clunkers stupid program ruined many good cars!

  • @SteelCity1981 He has ruined more than cars!!

  • Well i am glad they Saved jeeps but sorry to say i dont really care about explorers their desposeable, but so true it should be a crime to destroy them or atleast be able to sell them at someones request, because I am a highschool grad that likes 90's cars, and hates new ones because they are underpowered, overpriced, ugly, etc, I will not buy new vehicles and have to go into debt, so what if we like older ones, they should be available

  • Way to go! A real American Hero! God Bless You! I wish some Ford Explorers would have been spared.

I wish fire would come down from Heaven and destroy the evil people responsible for Cash 4 Clunkers! A pox on them! I hope they get hit by semis! I hope every bad thing that can happen will happen to the children of Satan who got rich off C4C!

  • I'm very happy to know that you saved this jeep.

  • Australia hasn't yet been stupid enough to do something like Cash for Clunkers, so what's it about anyway? Why are people destroying perfectly good cars?

  • thanks for saving that nice car :)

  • I know someone with a 95 cherokee same everything almost. It has over 330k on it, no thats not a typo either.

  • Great loookin, i just got lucky recently and got a good condition 96 country 4wd. Its an amazing 1st car for a 16 year old. :)

  • When people turn 16 r they supposed to go buy a brand new chevy or ford or dodge car. No they dont have 20000 dollars to spend they need one for like a couple grand

  • Crazy program it looks only 3-5 years old! What the hell was the previous owner thinking?? He or She could have easily fetched $3,000-$4995.00 for it. I don't think this program was established with proper guidelines! The other day a Cadillac Seville STS (1998) with the North Star engine was destroyed under this program I was shocked it was in excellent shape!

  • no no no no no no thaats it impeach obama fuck that fagget ass hole that thinks hes the best and if i hate him im guilty of being racist and im not i just hate this president uhmm... i think i rather have bush then this pos president but i dont think im goign to go that far

  • ahhh okk

  • OBAMA IS A JEEP KILLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its more than personal..he fucked with my country...took chevy...now he is killing jeeps...he needs to go

  • HOLY SHIT HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY I THOUGHT U COULDNT BUY THEM

  • @josh666675 You cannot buy them once the dealer submits them into the program. Dealers were willing to sell off these nice vehicles if I could offer more than the program did.

  • @miltonautosales and how much was that

  • If i saw someone try to blow the engine on this amazing condition jeep i wouldve punched them right in the face and stole the car. If someone even asked me to trade my 99 cherokee limited for cash for clunkers id knock them out. Thanks for saving a beautiful Jeep with plenty of potential.

  • Remember the auto bailout? Obama took flak for that and had to come up with a way for the automakers to repay their loans. There was a snag - no one was buying cars due to the crappy economy. The solution? Force taxpayers to payback the govn't with this "wonderful" program. Where do you think the $4500 per vehicle came from? The good ole taxpayers that constantly get screwed. The auto execs repay their loans and retain their bonuses. Don't vote democrat in 2012!

  • good for you guys i mean, i'm democrat but the whole idea of seizing the engines of perfectly functioning, good vehicles and sending them to junkyards is absolutely absurd. any car lover would be aggravated after watching a few of the C4C kill videos

  • I may be canadian and we didnt really have a big cash for clunkers program but i saw how bad it was in the USA, and i was stunned on what people traded in making them pretty stupid, they are taking all the cheap used cars off the road did obama think what are the 17 year old like me going to do when you cant get a decent car under $30,000, obama didnt do alot of thinking

  • @Brendon00000 I fully agree with you except for your final comment. Obama did plenty of thinking. The world is unaware of his true intentions which are to destroy the USA. Hopefully he does not get re elected!!

  • @miltonautosales agreed... hardly anyone i know sees that but me

  • @miltonautosales wen i get the money i movin out of the usa to somewere not obama 1!!!!! unless something bad to him happens first

  • Cars should have to be in bad enough shape and inspected to be allowed in that program, not just anything shoupd be allowed

  • @Brendon00000 Fully Agreed!! The program did not make any sense at all. It actually hurt the car industry because the supply of cheap cars was depleted which drove the price up! Hard to find a cheap car these days that is slightly reliable! Thanks Obama!

  • @Brendon00000 It should be a crime to destroy a good vehicle! It is a crime against people like me who can't afford loans and debt.

  • Thank you for saving these, but how did you save it, and this is beautiful i couldnt care less about the bumper damage its too nice, i cant believe the people that run that program, they've crushed maserati's!!! im glad the program ended

  • And thats a rare model, country trim only available in 1997 (after facelift)

  • Good job Wish more dealerships where as responsible as you guys.

Thanks a lot wish I could do more than just a comment.

  • he is sayen that someone was gona sell this to the cash 4 clunkers but he bought it to save it and keep it on the road so it still has the title .that is so cool how much do you sell them for i hate cash for clunkers ond obamas black ass

  • save them clunkers

  • that is not a clunker goddamn it !!!!!

looks clean as heck id buy a car of similar year and condition

  • Too bad not more dealers didn't save good cars.

Alot of nice vehicles worth alot more went to that bull crap

  • Cash for Clunkers was a prime example of "BUREAUCRACY, AMERICAN STYLE" in the famous "Political Cows" used to demonstrate different political ideologies:

BUREAUCRACY, AMERICAN STYLE: You have two cows. The government takes them both, shoots one, milks the other, pays you for the milk, then pours the milk down the drain.

  • Nice Jeeper :-)

  • just think how many nice jeeps went to the crusher

  • ha u died ur hair blonde?

  • I have one exactly like that in black im in highschool. I paid 2200 for mine with 70,000 miles its a great car plan to drive it over 200,000 i just got it last month 4wd came in handy when we dismissed school thursday jan 7 i slid coming up hills but besides that it ran great

  • Thank you for preventing this perfectly nice vehicle from being Obama'd you just won your place in heaven if it exists!

  • Nice rescue! I own a 96 jeep cherokee and watching the video where they blew one up made me kinda sad to see that happen to another jeep

  • Great Job! At least you don't have your head up your ass... Keep it up guy...

  • some cars do not deserve to die. good job on saving a great american vehicle.

  • whats the point in trying to save em if the fucked up government turns the vin in to an inop u cant put it back on the road

  • I bought it from a dealer while it was being traded in for more than the government would give them so that it would not go into the program. The government is quickly taking over so we have to do what we can.

  • problem is like this jeep most of theses cars are not worth the $4500.oo trade in the government gave for em yeah its a nice jeep but around here that jeep is only worth $1500.oo at the most and thats retail at the auto auction its worth $1200.oo at the most i know i have ran a used car lot for going on7 years

  • cash for clunkers is like the car holocaust. pouring liquid glass into the engine sounds like a torture method

  • Thanks so much for trying to save older vehicles. Especially jeeps. Seems they are the most traded in vechicles so far. Wish you would of been around to save that 5.9L Grand Cherokee they blew up. I own a 5.9L Grand cherokee. And to see another one getting blown up, was just sickening.

  • Now let's see if the complainers put their money where their mouths are....

  • i have the same exact car only blue and to destroy one would be absolutely sickening

  • Good save, cash for clunkers is a car guys, worst nightmare, dosent make sense

  • Milton Auto Sales, you don't know how much this means to Jeep lovers like me. Thank You. Seriously.

  • wow! its about time someone saved these nice car!

  • It would mean more to me if the government was cheated in some way--in other words, undermine the silly law and spit in the government's face.

  • Good work man, thats a shame that would have been crushed, i really like jeeps.

  • honestly, if i was looking for a good used car. i would go a wait at a new car lot with 5,000 cash in hand...and look for people trading in nice cars for this dumb ass program. once i found one i liked, pull the person aside, and give the tax free 5,000 cash for the ride, and drive off with a nice new car for less then the dealer would have sold it for if it wasnt going to be junked. win win situtation

  • i have bought 2 cash for clunkers cars and titled them in my name, even though it was a c4c!

  • how do you rescue a vehcile from cash for clunkers

  • you can't. if it's traded in under the program it must be scraped. otherwise, your breaking the law.

  • thank you so much i love that 4.0 i hace a 1995 jeep cherokee eagle and i love her

  • Your the Auto Messiah.

Thank You for saving this Jeep from the Scrap Yard..

  • jimmy i'm so glad you're doing this because there are people out there who can't afford a new car and all the nice suvs and cars and trucks i've seen being destroyed i saw them blow up the engine in a 2002 ford explorer and it was in good condition i wish someone could of saved that one

  • I totaly agree man.. I am thinking the same thing..

  • WOw thank you

  • thank you for saving it ^.^

  • God bless you! I'm sick of watching rednecks destroying nicer trucks that I have! =)

  • people should of just donated them to charitys and took the tax rite of been better then destroying so many nice vehicles

  • Thanks for all the compliments and support!

  • This comment is dead on!!! It was definitely an artificial boost. I know of dealers here in Atlanta that have 180 Cash for Clunker deals and have only been paid by the government for a handful of them. Dealers across the country are out of a lot of money and just waiting to see if the government is going to uphold their end of the bargain. Sounds like a conspiracy to me.

  • great work!!!! you guys must have been sent from Jesus. thanks for saving it!!!

  • Good job saving it! Keep up the good work!!!

  • im so happy some body had the same idea that i did insted of destroying them buy them and run them to the ground
