  • but...guns'n roses did a cover of this song? O.o is this the original song? DDD:

  • I have installed a permanent modification to my brain. All it does is play this song when I'm not feeling happy (also it plays Dunkirk and Captured when I need to kick some ass).

  • Awesome 70-80 rock influences :)

  • 46 people got down on the farm

  • i like ducks

  • This song made my day during my teen days, Camel surprised me with the Rajaz album, when in the 90s were nothing but commercial music.

  • Wow, I just looked up the lyrics. I always thought it was behind the cowshed the plowman is taking a pee but it's really take a peek at the farmers daughter who's hanging her undies. A very good song regardless.

  • PARENTAL ADVISORY

This song's about death, destruction and...tractors.

  • I love Breathless, but this song sounds like it should have been on a Caravan album, maybe because Sinclair is singing. When I saw them in Southampton during the Breathless tour, the lineup was (I think) the Andys, Latimer and Ward, Richard Sinclair, David Sinclair and Mel Collins - the best sax player I have heard, and that includes John Hellawell.

  • i really don't like breathless but this, echoes and the sleeper are great songs.

  • andy latimer .... pure genius

  • it's enough to make me grab me boots, Camel awesome enough said.

  • Nothing like being down on the farm, great!!!

  • great big piles of sh*t behind the rhubarb!

  • Good Song,funny video,thank You JOEneil69!

  • this song has a special place in my heart

  • Wow, Andy playing some gnarly power chords. Then back to the light hearted part of the song. Good video.

  • Simple lyrics. Simple concept. And a great song!!!! This is called beauty in the creative process. Pure and simple beauty. Love this song!!!!!! :)

    Eddie

  • Oh I love this song.

    This whole album is great.

  • The LP Camel "Breathless" is the first album that I bought of Camel and is the most like. I like also the song Rhayader and the songs that following the saga.

El LP de Camel "Breathless" es el primer album que me compre y el que mas me gusta. Me gusta tambien la canción de "Rhayader" y las siguientes de la saga.

Esta canción Down in the Farm tiene mucho poderio.

  • just the greatest :D

  • I'm not a "Camel expert" but this album is pure brilliance for me, down to the last track. Yes it may not be sophisticated enough for some, but for us common people it's perfect :-)

  • People who are fans of Caravan tends to like this album abit more since half of that bands members had joined camel for it, including the writer/singer of this song.

  • @cambiarmivida I'm OK for common people,be a part of it.....

  • @cambiarmivida It's a great album but Snow Goose is hands down their best album.

  • Get well soon Andy - you are a legend!

  • Vocal reminds of the late, great Viv Stanshall. Camel couldda been huge. Great album with wonderful atmospherics.

  • not my favorite camel album but surely a great song and a great voice by richard sinclair

  • great song from Camel. i'm not sure if Breathless is my favorite album ( a bit popy to me) i prefer more The Snow Goose

    but anyway great pic (1:54)

    love the slidshow, great posting!!!

  • Mirage = unquestioned greatness

  • brethless was always one of my favoret camel albums. and down on the farm was my favoret track.

  • yeah i know. right down to the bleep in it. but i still dig it. all camel fans very from one to the others. there are some people who love harbor or tears and stashonary travaler but thous albums blows camel poo...in my opinions. but i love nude. and ofcorce all the early albums. my first camel lp was moonmadness. it was a instend love for the band. the i got snow goose next then like brethless and raindances the same day. this was like 7 years ago.

i love the canterbury sound. i love it

  • Good Vid, Great song - Loved this since it came out in '78 - Richard's vocals suit the song. Sounds like Andy (Latimer) is playing a Stratocaster - brilliant rhythm - Still Love 'Summer Lightning' even more though !

  • great

  • Thank you very much Filter216
