  • @cocoachoco236 ooooooooooooooooooooh yessssssssssss :D

please be happy. w italia :D

  • I understood almost everything you said... I can understand Italian but I can't really speak it. I know you said Mussolini and Eva Peron being the other two mummies as good (or almost as good) as this one, yes?

  • Oh,god.

  • And another thing. Somebody said in one comment that they should change the sheets in the coffin. The coffin cannot be opened. It`s sealed and made from a special metal, i dont know the name in english. That is why, when they put the coffin on the X-ray to see if Rosalia is intact ( not cut open with some organs removed as most of the mummified bodies are) they didn`t open it and with the X-ray machine almost on maximum power they manage to see the internal organs of the mummy. She`s intact. :)

  • for those who don`t understrand the language, please inform yourselves beacause it is also a Discovery documentary about this. I know `cause i found out about Rosalia from Tv. It is real, she is in Palermo Catacombes and honestly, i really wish i could go there and see her with my own eyes...

  • :O I Only Understood A Few Words :/

  • @iRapeCupcake1 In this video I explain that a young sicilian scientist found the real mix Salafia used to mummify also Rosalia... She is the best mummy in the world. Rosalia was born in 1918 and she died two yeras later for a bronchial infection. Her body was embalmed by Alfredo Salafia, and it was exposed into the Catacombe of Cappuccini, a christian crypt dug round 1500 in Palermo.

  • SHE IS WELL PRESERVED AND LOOKS LIKE A DOLL.

  • @THEGRINNINGDOGGY how long ago did she die??? I dont know because everyone is speaking a different languge!! :/ plz tell me

  • @Logisticsish i think she died 1960

  • @plasa3 no... she died in 1920

  • @zitegoes ahh ok

  • @plasa3 ahh ok

  • @plasa3 ahh ok

  • @Logisticsish - I DO NOT SPEAK THE LANGUAGE BUT CAN READ SOME WORDS. I SAW THIS VIDEO AND OTHERS ON THE SAME LITTLE GIRL AND APPARENTLY SHE WAS DECEASED IN 1920 OR THERE ABOUT. SHE IS REMARKABLY WELL PRESERVED. SHE WAS A VERY PRETTY LITTLE GIRL.

  • @Logisticsish -----Oh forgot to add- she was found in Sicily- looks like Palermo.

  • 1:28 no film, no foto... ma servizi giornalistici sì ;-) (molto interessante, comunque)

  • Sinistroooooooooooooooo

  • i wonder if it smells in that catacomb?

  • she's a pretty kid. imagine if she have survived that infection, she'll be a great grandmother.

  • awww she was so pretty little love and facinating story RIP little one x

  • The method back then was to place some cotton under the eyelids, and that usually kept them closed. The embalming process would have hardened her body and froze everything in place, including her eyelids. So I'm not sure why they're open. Unless they kept them like that and didn't close them, I don't know why they would be that way.

  • @enigma800 some people don't close their eyes completely. Maybe the rigor mortis made her lids stay like that and they couldn't close them after wards? o.o

  • Even though I don't speak or understand Italian, I think it sounds like the most beautiful language in the world.

  • inquietante ed affascinante

  • Imagine that child was in America and the family of it kept her body preserve that the police investigation will think of it as a murder. LOL

  • franion, that is very true! I just lost both my grandmothers in the last few years. They were both in their 80's and we felt a tragic loss but they both had stories of looseing children. In my greatgrandparents days everybody lost atleast 1 child. My grandmother would tell me stories in the cemetary that would bring tears to MY eyes but she just saw it as a fact of life.

  • I saw her in Palermo with my dad in 2003. Impressive.

  • @Skaugraut

  • @zitegoes thank you :) It's amazing how good preserved she is :)

  • @zitegoes --- I agree she is a well preserved mummy but let's also take into account that she did not die that long ago compared to many other mummies.

Wasn't the Spanish Influenza going around the world at that time?

  • @THEGRINNINGDOGGY Yes, it's true... but she is a perfect mummy, the best one and she is almost one hundred years old!!!

  • @Skaugraut Suuuuuuca!

  • amazing preservation..wow

  • is it just me or can you see a small part of her eyes at 1:35. I first saw a picture of her as a child in a book and it scared me at first. She is so beautiful. Rest in peace Rosalia

  • What the hell happened to her?

  • @MeThinksThus

She died of pneumonia in 1920

  • come un volto baffuto ?

  • @Bonsay3 paffuto non baffuto, significa cicciottello, gnurant!

  • @Bonsay3 paffuto!!! scimunito!!!

  • IS A PRETY DEATH BEAUTY GIRL

  • IS A PRETY DEATH

  • poor little girl.... my little girl is 2 and to think that people back then didn't have the medicine to cure her, like antiobiotics, and she could've lived her life, over a simple infection.god bless her little soul.

  • how is she called?

  • @MarcRevenge Her name is Rosalia Lombardo

  • I wish they would put new clothes on this beautiful baby that would go with her incorrupted body and lovely face . At least replace that horrible soiled sheet with a new white satin one. She is so beautiful - God bless her shining spirit which now resides in heaven.

  • @lunaqua They cannot touch anything in, the girl is inside a glass and lead box: no air, no human interferences=no corruption...

  • she is beautiful rest in peace

  • pretty thing, hard to believe how old she is

  • shes a bog mummie

  • god shes beautiful

  • ??? What???

  • she looks like she'd wake up at any moment if you made a loud noise.

  • "La momia piu bella del mundo"

    Did I spell that right?

    I love italian.

  • @azukita18 The right sentence is = La mummia più bella del mondo :)

  • This is the one time that I am kicking my own butt for not learning another language. It is truly a handicap.

  • @ekocentric

In this video I explain that a young sicilian scientist found the real mix Salafia used to mummify also Rosalia... She is the best mummy in the world. Rosalia was born in 1918 and she died two yaers later for a bronchial infection. her body was embalmed by Alfredo Salafia, and it was exposed into the Catacombe of Cappuccini, a christian crypt dug round 1500 in Palermo.

  • @zitegoes Thank you so much for translating the beautiful little Rosalia's story. He story is truly a testament to parent's love for their children. And she is so beautiful with that wavy blonde hair and bow in her hair.

  • @zitegoes

Thank you, for translating. It just sucks when you cant understand a language.

  • @zitegoes with those of Evita Perón and Lenin.

  • @ekocentric Why don't you? Is not that hard, you know? It only takes 6 months tops if you're disciplined. Besides, if you learn italian you're half way of french, two thirds of spanish, and if you learn spanish, portuguese and romanian are a piece of cake. But if you wanna stick to what you know, being an english speaker, you'll find german, dutch and danish pretty easy too.

  • @ekocentric thats true...i dint undestand it rether lol

  • @ekocentric lol true

  • @ekocentric --- I hear you. Then again is the broadcast in Italian or in the Sicilian Dialect? I would assume Sicilian if a local news station? Either way- I can't speak either :-(

  • Das finde ich einfach GESCHMACKLOS!

  • @Carminaburana1000

  • l'ho vista...bellissime le catacombe...

  • if anyone has a problem with what is being said here or shown, change the channel for christ sake. simple, even a baby can click clickclick to another subject. some people just are in the mood to fight, nothing personal, just to much of a pussy to get off the computer, go out, get drunk and kick ass or get yours kicked. otherwise talk is cheap. dam. I hope they take the comments off so we who are interested don't need to hear nonsense.

Complimenti ancora bel lavoro

  • i dont understand? why do they make mummys of dead people? what was this catacomb of dead bodied for?

  • @datmit2000 those catacombs have 500 years, the sensibility about death in that time was very different from now. so somenthing that for you has no sense, for them had sense.

  • piccola,mi fa tanta tenerezza!

  • POOR BABY :(

  • @Cynnbadd22 shes aint no poor baby shes happy.. she dont have to live this life any more.

  • Her dead body is in the perfect condition, just like sleeping!

  • She looks like those dolls that come with stands that you sit on your dresser.... she looks pretty...

  • mummy's secret:children are innocent

  • I remember this from a book from one of my classes in sixth grade. I think the little girl died, and her dad mummified her, and she was left in perfect condition, with color in her face as though she were still alive. They never found out what he used to mummify her, and make her seem so lifelike, because he died.

  • In this video I explain that a young sicilian scientist found the real mix Salafia used to mummify also Rosalia...

  • siete invidiosi???

  • 1) chi?

    2) di chi o di che cosa?

    3) cosa te lo fa pensare?

  • if thats what they did the parenrs are seriously disturbed

  • QUE FUERTEEEEE LO ULTIMO!!

  • "no film no video"

     AHAHAH

  • who was Rosalia??

she look like as beautiful doll (:

  • dulcemuerta, she was Rosalia Lombardo who died in 1920 aged 2 years of pneumonia. She was one of the last to be interred in the vaults and her father employed the services of an embalmer to preserve her. Personally , i believe she should be interred and not displayed like a curiosity. Her spirit is long gone and it is time her body was laid to rest also. There is nothing to be gained from public display.

  • Can somebody please translate what they are saying?? I catch some words but still dont understand what they say :(

  • Comments? Interviews? Video? you say "They"... but I don't understand who they are

  • she has a twin sister who visited her yearly.

  • She hasn't a twin sister, but only a sister. Her name is also Rosalia, like her oldest died sister. She is almost 80 years old and she live in North Italy.
