Yes Jose Calderon cant play Defense but its the NBA you can succeed without being a good defender, really Bayless is an undersized SG, he is like a Westbrook or Rose just not as good & much more out of control, I would take Jose Calderon over Jerryd Bayless any day, Calderon might even be the next Steve Nash if he can improve his shooting, 9APG is about as good as any PG out there, his numbers are very comparable to Rondos Jose should be considered with some of the better PGs B
Bayless has stats, he doesn't win games or make his teammates better.. which is needed at the point. In terms of facilitating team chemistry (especially with young promising players like DeRozan, Amir, Ed Davis) I think we need someone who helps create offense, instead of being the offense.

You can see in these highlights that he takes unneceesarily hard shots and is sometimes out of control when driving to the lane. That may be his game, but he needs to slow down or be in more control instead of tossing up a prayer
Grabbing a few plays where Jose was beaten off the dribble is plain silly.
In JB's time on the court, I can recall more than a few times he got beaten bad on defense. Still we all know JB has the edge on defense and attacking. And we all know Jose is the better quaterback. And more than this, we all know, starting or not, Calderon will be ready to play. He's a class act and a great leader!
Jerryd Bayless is my favorite player in the nba. he is so unique. There are not many players that are as hard to guard as him. He can beat you off the dribble as well as beat you with his jump shot. You have to pick your poison with him. That is why he is so deadly

Bayless excelled last year when he was given more minutes, and we should make him full time starter to get the most out of him. He doesn't do well off the bench.
Dangerous 3-point shooter, decent passer, defense, 22 years old = Good investment if you ask me.
He has all the tools, let's see if he can get his stuff together. A pretty decent man defender, other than that time bynum crossed him out of his shoes and dunked.
Right now, i'd say we keep Caldy and have him come off the bench. JB has much to learn about team basketball.
