Actually, the great thing about Andy Kaufman was that there was never anything to "get." He wanted gut reactions -- be it laughter, confusion, discomfort, or glee. So whether you like Andy's stuff or hate it, it's totally fine -- but don't say that other people aren't getting it or conversely, are just "pretending to get it." Andy's stuff wasn't like that.
