  • The most tragic thing of all I saw with Corretta King's funeral was that her last sights in this world were seeing the disenfranchised being ignored once again in the city of New Orleans. I was here, watching that neglect as she lie dying. God bless her soul, and that of her husband as well. Let Justice roll down is the best memorial we can give to these two wonderful human beings ....

  • I love this so much!

  • great woman

  • i am a white boy and i love her poems

  • I love how she just speaks her piece and then it touches you so Deep<

  • Those words were meant for the hypocritical Bush seated directly to her right...you could see it on his face...he almost melted...Dr Maya spoke truth to power on that day...

  • That was a lecture meant for the hypocrtical Bush seated directly to her right...words only Dr Angelou can deliver..SHE SPOKE TRUTH TO POWER!!!

  • Mrbrandon71- that's ignorant and disrespectful.

  • Maya Angelou is an amazing, inspirational woman, as was Coretta Scott King. Love to hear her speak and love to read her work. Thanks for posting this!

  • @mrbrandon71 You understand nothing. Why would you use your time and energy to disrespect someone - ANYONE - whom you do not know and whose story you have not bothered to learn? That makes you ignorant and shameful. How sad.

  • @bardess5 In the United States, at least for the time being, we can say what we please with or without "knowing a story." I don't have to know you to dislike what you are saying.......and I detest this old turtle lookin' bitch :-)

  • Beautiful women

  • Over two years ago, I posted this video for all to see and to hear. I just watched it again and each time I watch it, it inspires me to keep my head and to keep on keeping on. Thank you Mrs. Angelou and Mrs. King.

  • 4:22---I think she was directing those comments towards Rev. Schuler behind her....

  • lovely speech and so fitting for Mrs C King. i love both of them very strong women and women that pursued and supported real change in the world. Bush should feel ashamed of himself.

  • Thank you for sharing this video. I read the transcript of her speech but having those words infused with Dr. Angelou's beautiful voice is absolutely amazing. I love her teachings and cannot wait for her new book to be released at the end of September.
