You spent all this time and effort making this video, yet you did a poor job here.. You could have zoomed out your focus so we can see the entire plant(s). You ran out of video imagery? Didn't even get to see the veggies grow! What a poor ending. You should have seen my face :(
@oxphatxo Yo Oxphatxo. Really really sorry to dissapoint. Honestly, the whole thing was shot in Macro with the camera mounted about 12 inches away zoomed out at it's max. There was more to the video but it was just stalks so I cut it out early which explains the black.
I'm working on another one this summer now that we live in Norway and we'll see how that one works out. I'll take your advice and try to capture more so I have to figure out how to set up the device to do so.
@flyfangirl I don't know really. If they don't have any beans in them they could just be a different variety, sort of like seedless watermelons. Are you sure there's nothing in them? Not even really tiny beans?
awesome awesome video!. im growing with just t12 shop lights and in 2 weeks i am where the two big leafs are "y"ing off and the two center ones are beginning to grow. how long did it take u to get here? i plan on a full inside grow with just two 4ft 2 bulb shop lights. two weeks and so far so good!
Good job on your set up. I wish I could comment on it but my hydroponics system is outside. It took 5 days for this whole thing to grow but a couple of days prior to that for the beans to actually get saturated etc.
I was growing tomatoes and new we're growing strawberries! Keep it up and send some pics. BTW, if you want to do a time lapse and have a simple point ans shoot cannon, go to the video settings and set it for time lapse video, one second intervals.
Thanks for the comment. The music is from something that Youtube provided as part of its audio swap since originally it used a track from Moby. I don' t know who the music is but usually an advertisement pops up on the video saying who it is. I'll find out for you if I can.
Perdona me por me espanol pero creo que era como 5 dias de fotos. Es una foto cada minuto tambien por la noche. Esta en una systema hydroponica por eso la aqua suve y baga cada quantos minutos.
Thanks for the comment. No, that's it, the flowering takes place way after the sprouting and I'll be working on that next. When you say how are hydroponic plants fertilized well, mine grow outside in the sun so they're exposed to bees and other insects. Typically to fertilize the plant though you collect the pollen in a plastic bag and then dust the flowers with the pollen with a feather. Oh, btw, it goes to black after four minutes. That's my stupidity.
Hi! Thank you for this video. I have a couple of questions. I was hoping to see the progress through flowering and growth of actual beans but the video is goes dark at 4:02. Is it supposed to? Just wanted to make sure it's not my computer/internet connection that is the problem. My other question is, how are hydroponic plants fertilized? Thank you!
what kind of bean it is?
GamemasterDM 8 months ago
@GamemasterDM It's a regular pinto bean. They sprout pretty fast.

I planted green beans for the first time. When they first sprout they are huge compared to say, a tomato plant. I was surprised.

QUESTION!!!
i'm growing green ASPARAGUS BEANS...(long breed)
this is my third year growing them in the same spot in my garden.
I grow my own seeds, and save them for the NEXT YEAR TO PLANT.
BIG PROBLEM... this year my bean stalks LOOK VERY HEALTHY, BUT
NO BEANS ARE ON THEM. they're barren!!! is it because they're sterile??

Oh I'm so sorry I didn't reply sooner. Yes, I'm using light expanded clay aggregate or LECA as it's called. The brand name for this one is Hydroton.
