@proevolutiongod You probably don't care anymore, but the first trailer song is "Peak Out" off "Night Ripper". @Hufflewaffle you don't know what you're talking about. It's illegal when the corporations say it's illegal...a scary thought. Try reading up on all the crap the copyright lawyers try to do. Some 56yr grandmother got threats from the powers that be to stop casually singing songs in a store she owned over in the UK ("public performance" of copyrighted works).
In terms of music copyrights this film is way off. Its sensationalizing a 'corporate them vs.individual us' battle that, for the most part, just doesn't exist.
Make a 'mash-up'. Play it at a live venue or music festival. No one really cares. Its not illegal. DJs have existed for decades. They don't end up in jail.
Its only illegal when you try to make money by pushing it back into the capitalist machine that you took it from.
Read up on copyrights. This film is not a good source of information.
@Hufflewaffle Watch the film. Some of the people interviewed grabbed under twenty songs to listen to on their home computer. They were caught, convicted and fined exorbitantly. So this has nothing to do with "pushing it back into the capitalist machine" unless you literally mean "put songs into your My Music files on your costly computer machine."
Inspirational! Just makes you wanna go to a concert, play an instrument, share with others and do something creative. I really wanna see this movie! Go Girl Talk!
Just saw this movie, it's brilliant!! I'm all for artists getting paid cos not all of them are madonna and can rely on touring money only, BUT this vid really has quite a strong arguement, esp when talking about the many rips from the verve's bittersweet symphony. Brilliant 5 stars!

A few simple words: I loved it. Why? Because it's so goddamn in your face that you'll HAVE to face it.
