REM ended on a high; this is a most excellent song and melody. A longtime fan, it was initially sad to hear of REM's exiting of the music industry, now it is profoundly upsetting and disquieting experience, and a void had been created which simply and unfortunately cannot be filled with the likes of most, if not all of, today's artists. This though, I guess, is life. Things simply move on.
