This is not correct. This version (although - this is a "drill" not an instructional video) is still perfectly "legal" in judo competition.
Be aware that regional rule variations might be different depending on your organisation or the age group. Kouchi-makikomi, for example and drop-seoi-nage are perfectly "legal" in judo competition - however some places (not inAustralia) do not allow these techniques in junior competition.
not, I meant he was pulling him up with his left foot forward, and then going into ouchi. I was just wondering what to do if you want to do it with the right leg forward, which is how I set up mine, and most people set up theirs lol.

you can ouchi the leg on the same side as the lapel grip too.
in fact thats how i do most of my ouchis. a tug of the lapel and sweep the leg out.
give it a try

I know that, thats the conventional ouchi. I meant for this drill in particular, how to do this drill, with a regular ouchi setup.
IChinaManI 3 years ago
um. just do this drill with the regular setup!
do your T step in then sweep the other leg, 'conventional style' and drive thru 'em!

you can but you won;t have as much power i think. try in next time you go to your club. see what works best for you.
