With all the changes Strider and Doom have gone through though, IDK if they can still be BFFs.

Ouroboros is now a level 3 and builds no meter.

On Clockwork's team (assuming Phoenix is taken out), Strider might end up more in company with Ammy then Doom. Especially since Clock prefers Hidden missles.

On a more silly note. Those of you out there who call your pets 'Strider' and only Strider in Hiryu's honor need to take the previous post into account.

Strider what? Strider Woof? But that's how it works. His 'code' name is Hiryu. He is a Strider but that is not his name. Don't forget Hien. i.e. Strider Hien. Strider is not his name either. His code name is Hien. Both Hiryu and Hien are Strider's not ninja's.

Admittedly Striders are derived from Ninjas yes. One of the suggested names for the original arcade game was 'Ninja Dynamics' after all (The other being 'The Falcon' if you don't know). But in the original story of Strider, Hiryu is a member of a group of Hi-tech Ninja-like agents known as the Striders (from wikipedia).

He is a Strider and his code name is Hiryu (Hiryu is not his real name either). Hence Strider Hiryu. The convention is a little similar to 'Samurai Jack'.
