the manga,but follow that if anything. But instead it seems that they wanted something closer to Naruto or something like that, which imo was totally a bad idea. Whoever approved this newer hunter X hunter, doesn't understand what they had, and what they have now is a big step backwards, and only for the sake of following a Naruto style of show. I like Naruto but after watching this, I like this more. All they needed to do was just reintroduce it, not change the depth for something shallow.

It's funny, I got into this anime after I watched the 2011 version, they only had about 9 or 11 episodes at the time so I decided to watch this version. I finished this one but I couldn't go back to the other one. The newer version doesn't even come close to being as good as this one. Which is a piss off, Those guys had something great and different here which only needed to be remastered or updated animation but should have done it the same as this or, not sure to what extent this follows

the scene when Leorio comes out of the bathroom is just a damn filler, that's why I hated the old version, they just made Kurapica sounds like a girl even though he's not, and they made Illumi looks like a good person helping kurapica to drive the ship, the only thing I like in this version is the Soundtracks they are freaking good.

No but, you are right in thinking that way, but then you could almost not compare any show with another. And if you'd read it you would see that the 'action' isn't worse or better, it's just very different. In Naruto the hero trains until he succeed with the techniuqe one time and then he suddenly knows it perfectly :p Hunter x Hunter is almost the opposite. So you can't compare the fighting scenes either because HxH is about development.

So I'm just talking from what I know from the manga, not what you've seen since almost everything here is a filler xD

(I do however follow the new anime series of HxH that started 4 weeks ago, but since they only have 4 episodes out not much action has happened yet so I can't speak for that either xD)
