Roman empire takes over ancient england with no problem but cant conquer scotland so build a big wall. Vikings fail to conquer scotland so instead join forces. England tries to conquer scotland but also failed. The modern day british army is made up from mostly scots.
Scots invent the phone, electricity, radar amongst other stuff. Because of scots we have TV's, Electricity and a great tough fighting force worldwide. Scots created and formed the SAS.

Scotland joined England to create the united kingdom because the english wanted our fighting strengh to join forces to conquer the world. i joined the parachute regiment at age 16 and then joined the royal marines when i was 20. there are not jobs wot give u the skills u learn in the armed force people join for diffrent reason some to sea the world some to get a trade like electrician engineer doctor medic driver (etc)
some join because its a great job and dont wont be stuck in a 9-5 job in a office or something

I don´t. God bless Scotland, Ireland Wales and tae hell wi´ England and its queen. Ask yourself why your friend "died" - presumably " killed" - in Afghanistan and whether the sacrifice was worth it. The Scottish Regts are awesome- huge Esprit d'corps, character, pride & colour-the jewels in the crown of the British army. God bless all the 'women from hell!' as the Germans referred to them in WW1. Let's hope the next government restore the Scottish Regts so we can hear their great names again!

The maturity of some of comments beggars belief... but at least we have the freedom to express almost any thought or idea, no matter how offensive it may be to some, and it is for such freedoms that many soldiers around the world have fought over the years. Whenever I get a chance to say thank you to a serving member of our armed forces I like to do so or to simply shake their hand for what they do... thanks to the poster of this vid for a fitting tribute.
