Jeremy Brett is my favourite Holmes. However, I was recently told off on Youtube for saying he was the best when comparing him to the Russian version. This person said that he was too aggressive for Holmes and that Brett fans don't really care about Sherlock Holmes. What does anyone think of that ?
@Rossk Yes, the one who had a go at me is Michaelil 1. The Russian Holmes he is refering to seems good to me but he is not Brett and not ours. Whether he is better or not this persons comments were out of order.

In my mind, He IS Sherlock Holmes. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's masterpiece was there all through the years waiting for Jeremy Brett, exactly Jeremy Brett.

It made me cry because many of us who have learned of him through our parents know that is the only man who could ever show sherlock holmes exactly as he was. he was a magnificent actor and only he could put the emotions of his character out there for us to see.

thats rubbish and a sweeping statement to say "Brett fans" arent Sherlock Holmes Fans...
err yes we are.. we just love Brett all the more BECAUSE he plays such an accurate portrayal of Holmes.
When I read Sherlock Holmes, I see Brett and hear his voice on the page . To me he is Mr SherlocK Holmes .
