"Violent death" sounds very dramatic but in fact, all it is, is delivery brought on early. The cervix is dilated and the woman goes into labor. The dead/ deformed/ dangerous to the mother baby is delivered. PERIOD

Gianna Jessen is an abortion survivor who survived an attempted abortion at 30 weeks (late term). Her mother's life was not threatened and she is not deformed. It is the law. I realize it feels better to think late-term abortions are only done in these cases, but that is not true and is not the law. I agree with abortion in cases where the mother would die.

Well, I was under the impression the abortion is the death of the baby and in that case the death had already occurred from other cases. Either way this is only a matter of semantics to say abortion is the induced labor of the dead baby. My point is that is it wrong for humans to cause the death in the first place.

Many have late-term abortions when the child has been diagnosed with Downs Syndrome -- an example of modern-day eugenics where the "less fit" are doomed to a violent death and the race is thus purified. Don't be foolish. Amniocentesis is done very early in pregnancies where an "elderly mother" might be carrying a Down's child - actually immediately after she has a positive pregnancy test. She is then given the option of an abortion if she wants one - under the 12 week limit. I've spent 45 years in the medical field and I don't need to go to anti-abortion sites for my information.

Downs syndrome fetuses are diagnosed via amniocentesis early in a pregnancy and are not an example for late term abortions. "Violent death" sounds very dramatic but in fact, all it is, is delivery brought on early. The cervix is dilated and the woman goes into labor. The dead/ deformed/ dangerous to the mother baby is delivered. PERIOD
