Hmmm, actually Quarrymen just broke up 1958. John, Paul and George reformed later as semipro rock`n`roll/doo-wop/dance project with several drummers and under several names. 1960 they became almost full pro band as The Beatles or John Silver & Beatles etc. 1960 they went to Hamburg with Stu and Best to make "easy" money. But John was living in his aunt Mimi house till 1963 (when he got married at age 23) and Mimi sponsored his actions.

We can't even call these idiots has-beens because they never were to begin with. At least recent tours by The Doors, The Beach Boys, and CCR have contained original members who "made it." The Quarrymen are talentless hacks who are not riding on any former talent or fame. They're riding on Lennon, McCartney, and Harrison's fame. There was a reason these guys were kicked out of the band. They sucked. And they still suck today, as is evident in this video.

They were not exactly all kicked out, soeme leaved, some went out as friends because they didn't fit the bands image anymore and so on.

The only one ever kicked out was pete best.

You could argue that Pete Shotton left on his own, but the reason he left is that he knew he sucked and had no musical talent. But if he hadn't have told John he wanted out, he would've been kicked out in time. As for the others they were all kicked out. By the way, Pete Best was never in the Quarrymen. He was kicked out of the Beatles because, like the other Quarrymen, he sucked.

The lead singer is Len Garry, one of the original Quarrymen, one of John's mates, also playing is Rod Davis, another of his school mates.  They are a great bunch of guys, saw them playing in Liverpool at Quarry Bank school, Pete Shotton was there, it was a great fun, they have loads of funny stories and reminiscenses.
