  • one of the most beautiful wedding scenes ever filmed. that dress is stunning though anything is going to look amazing on Vanessa Redgrave she's a stunner and not waif thin like the so called stunning actresses of the past 20 or so years

  • the dress is beautiful but the pearls must make it heavy x

  • I love her wedding dress, something I want to wear on my day.

  • Vintage footage here, dreamy and fantastic.

  • BEAUTIFUL SCENE!

  • Yes I too fell in love with both the movie and Richard Harris. I brought my kids up on this musical and many many more.

  • Love this movie! It is perhaps a little too long, but the score is great. It was on T.V. today for the first time in like years! I wish they showed it more often.

  • This movie and 'oliver' the year after, showed to me the best of British musical movies, man of la mancha as well!

Also, mention to me the name Richard Harris, and this movie comes to mind. His role in this movie was unforgettable, and doubtless was inimitable. There will never be another like him.

  • When this movie came about I was not allowed by my parents to see it. Much later I came across the movie & got to watch it (age 22) & saw it as pure theatre. Arthur's soliloquy after Lance's knighthood is a masterpiece in acting & filming - close-up of his expressions (hurt, pain & love all at the same time). Close up of the characters' expressions is such great film advantage that is not possible on stage.

  • I've always adored their walk together to the alter through all the lighted candles--simply breathtaking, and so is Vanessa--magical in this role--in that stunning goddess gown.

  • @TheCatgirl6 So right the walk to the alter is the most breath taking part of Arthur and Guenevere`s wedding says so much with so little the candles in a darken Abbey very very good.

  • If i were to do a stage production -Id love to add the wedding scene. Arthur is so boyishly proud-showing off his lady.

  • It's lovely the way Guenevere's reprise of the song indicates her acceptance of Arthur's marriage proposal. Great scenes all around. Magical.

  • I was 15 when I first saw this movie in 1967. I fell in love with Richard Harris. One of the sexiest actors ever.

This scene is sooo fairytale. Beautiful.

  • Beautiful
