If you knew anything about history, you'd know laissez fair got us into the great depression and Keynesian economics got us out. And cable news is trash, by the way. Laissez-fair translates to "pure capialism" meaning an enviroment in which there are absolutely no rules (with concerns to commerce) apart from those the individual traders set between themselves. If anything, a combination of liberalism and socialism created the great depression; just enough socialism for there to be an enforced system to manipulate and exploit, and enough liberalism to enable people to exploit it.

@delanogaston No... I think free-market trade is a policy. Laissez-fair is an absolute lack of policy. It is more akin to bartering or natural trading. It is anarcho-capitalism. It is Ayn Rand - seperation of state and economy. It does not even have an official (enforced) currency. Remember that the only reason money bills are worth anything is because people are willing to trade goods for them. In truth, they are simply pieces or paper that are already used.
