I think that all these women would look better if they didn't wear excessive eye-make up and false eyelashes. Eyes are the windows to the soul. I prefer people who are not pretentious and trying to be something that they are not. When I see excessive make-up, I just think fake, even if they are not fake. Less is MORE. I also prefer people who are just not trying to be something that they are not.
The beauty of her music and her voice makes me ache. Gorgeous. Now its even worse because its taken me back "before the years flew by" myself. Its actually as beautiful as it is painful now.

I love how Kate always transformed herself into the role of the song in her videos, always a bit eccentric. But once you discover the others side of her by watching a few of her interviews and get the full picture of persona that is Kate Bush, I think it is impossible not to be charmed to say the least, or mesmerized, almost in love in my case.
I think she's stunning! Her music and voice are like no other and her delivery is quirky, but in a very appealing way. She has been one of my favorite musical artists since the 80's and she is still respected widely in the music industry. You should check out her live performance of "Running Up That Hill" with Pink Floyd's David Gilmour as well as "This Womans Work". Just check her out. If you are an open minded music lover then you can't help but enjoy her talent...and her beauty.

@LittleImpaler - A 'babushka' is a kind of headscarf as well though isn' t it? In old articles written about Kate it was sometimes implied that the 'babushka' was a kind of veil - which symbolised the disguised character in the song. Hence: Babooshka. I can see how it would have seemed a bit odd in Eastern Europe though.

@deriadeath This song is about a husband that is bored with his wife and her insensitive ways. The wife senses it and sends letters to him pretending to be another woman (Babooshka). Excited about the prospect of another womans intrest in him, he falls for the trick. When he goes to meet Babooshka he realizes that she makes him feel the way his wife used to make him feel. Needless to say, the wife(Babooshka) gets very angry, when he shows up and she starts throwing a fit.

@ONBree ......Babooshka is a reference to a period in 1979. I was an Aussie living in London when I met Kate. Long story short, we became lovers. My name is Barry and she called me Bab. Kate was always eccentric and quirky and would get around our unit in minimal erotic and exotic clothing and it was just a constant love nest. I would quite often sneak up behind her, rip down her panties, grab her by the waist and yell "Bab Bush Ka"!!....Kate changed the spelling and made a song from that.
