  • i would think you'd be using some oil when milling like that.

  • @tabrown05, Yes you are correct. If I were running a program I would use cutting fluid. I didn't want to spray oil on my video camera.

  • Now thats what I need right there.

  • if you're cutting aluminum, you should be feeding a lot faster..

  • Hi Saskquatch,

My speed is limited by the controller and power supply, too much speed equals not enough torque.

In a perfect world someone would sell a nice small spindle that has lots of torque and low rpms but I have yet to find one. That would be the best way to cut aluminum and flood coolant as well.

  • @ModularCNC Use High Torque DC Servos dude

  • Is this something you made? If so, how do I build one myself??

  • I sell them on my site.

  • @ModularCNC and what site is that. send me a pm. i think you cant post urls on youtube.

  • nice machine for what its worth!!

  • Thanks, its a nice heavy duty little machine.

  • That's pretty cool. What kind of bit are you using?

  • Hi,

1/4" Diameter Carbide 2 flute end mill.

  • Nice unit! Is that the Harbor Freight laminate trimmer? I might use one also (got one for 19 bucks). How is it?

  • It cuts pretty good, only goes one speed though. Since It has the plastic housing I am afraid to clamp on it too hard. I like the craftsman aluminum bodied router better. See my other videos for that spindle cutting.

  • I bought one too. I also have seen a speed control for routers at Harbor Freight.

  • i love grapes

  • Good video, nice machine.
